Title: Help Needed

I know this is probably a dumb-dumb question, but is there a way to make the mouse fire, instead of fire being control?  I cant play when the mouse click just moves up and down...
(sorry if its an easily solution ???)

Ingame hit escape (To bring up menu) then;
Options>Controls>Upgrades>Primary Attack

I thought mouse1 and control both set to attack by default.
