I was playing a game this afternoon when someone commented that his mouse was acting crazy. I thought nothing of it until my own mouse appeared to go nuts; I started turning and looking in different directions when I wasn't moving the mouse. Now I am aware of that mice, especially optical mice, can do crazy things from time to time. However...
1) Someone else commented on the same behavior
2) I've probably played Tremulous for 100 hours and never noticed this behavior before
3) The crazy mouse behavior stopped as soon as I because a spectator, and hasn't been a problem since (or in other applications)
Is there some new hack or admin ability that would allow someone else to control my mouse while I'm playing? (And no, it's not a wireless mouse)

If not wireless, then your mouse is fucked up. either clean the optic/surface or get a new one.

What server?

While I supose its entirely possible, I really doubt that anyone was making any hacking attempt on you. Part of it could be just your mind subconsiously agreeing with the thought of the mention of the other player saying his mouse was spazzing, but mice are easily messed up. My mouse was going crazy once because it had dog hair in it. So make sure you blow out/clean your mouse and hopefully your mouse hasn't bit the dust.

Were you a human? I remember from a while ago that some qvm that had bots would sometimes accidentally recognize a player as a bot and try to aim for them. This happened once to me while testing the qvm on a friends server and it sounds similar to your problem. Again, what server?

This was on Dretch*Storm. I was playing on the alien team as a dragoon at the time.

I had similar problems along with complete failure of sound and keyboard with buggy versions of the X.org X-Server.
-
Also I recall that while I was playing the Ambush mod on the AoD server (iIrc), everyone playing had the same problem.

Mooseberry is right about messed bot code being the problem. I did a crappy TremBot port to one of my QVM projects once; everyone on the server got super pissed. ::)
