Title: Demos videos and screenshots not writing data ( on a mac )
Post by: DULCIMER CANNON on January 26, 2009, 05:33:47 am
I'm on a mac, and for some reason when I take a screen shot demo or record a vid, it doesn't write it to file. I have done both command line searches as well as using spotlight among other methods. I know it should be in the base folder, but its not. I have tried redownloading tremulous and still nothing. Also I can't play demos. Any ideas?

Your base folders ("base" as well as any equivalent mod folders) should be immediate sundirectories of the location given by /fs_homepath, try that.

Also, don't use the Mac screenshot utility for windows that change every frame, such as most high-framerate games; they capture the screen in horizontal bars, so you'll occasionally get the bottom part of the screenshot from a later frame than the top part, etc.
Just looked, my base file is not a subdirectory of the FS_homepath, but I can't change that. It wants the fs_homepath to be /users/(myName)/Library/Application Support/Tremulous but the library is not in the users section, and I cant move the library since it is a shared computer with multiple accounts. Is there a way to edit the fs_homepath?

sorry this took me so long to reply again. It appears there is a error in the mac search engine, when I went through in a different method trying to find it though, I got it.
