Post by: Winter on March 16, 2009, 11:15:13 pm: I use Corel Photopaint 11. It doesn't have as many options as Photoshop does and it can get very glitchy sometimes, but it gets the job done.

Edit: GIMP won't install properly on my computer. I've tried several times. I think it hates me. :(

Well I've never considered drawing to be anything more than a hobby for me. I might put more time into it in the future- when the bottom falls out of this maths degree I'm currently studying for -but this won't be anytime soon.

Anyhow, if you enjoy it then do it. Don't let a little thing like a lack of technical expertise discourage you, that's what I say. ^^

Ooh, maths! You take pre-cal in high school? What was your mark?

Oh, and that is an EXTREMELY good fallback plan. You could create a whole 2d portfolio using MS Paint. That is some serious talent.
