and if you know howto compile there always:
http://code.google.com/p/fsm-trem/ (http://code.google.com/p/fsm-trem/)
its stable enough i just need to port the numpad key fixes over from tremfusion.
prob wont be released since i don't play trem too much and all the other devs buggered off long ago

Mind if I ask what's wrong with the MG builds?
They are the closest to TJW's and made by people on the dev team...

o! A downloadable hacked pk3! I thought Amanieu was once almost banned for posting a link to one.

lack of other features everyone likes
i consider mg to be vanilla client
fsm to be filled with features but not to the extent of tremfusion
just depends on what you want

and having people on the dev team working on the client means nothing.

All these new builds suck to be honest, They add too many worthless features and change things that were just fine the wa they always were.

mgclient is the closest thing to a clean svn client out there right now.

whats worthless to you is gold for someone else.
its a balance and we have 3 main newsvn clients at each limit

if you want boring old crappy svn go mg client
if you want good features go fsm-trem
if you want those features and the kitchen sink go tremfusion.

but you properly don't have an issue with features its probably more the ALL SDL move that was done ages ago. it changed the feel of the mouse for some.
also there's alot of bug fixes that has been done in those clients that are not in main trem svn and especially not in original tjw crapclient. and voip rocks on servers supporting(altho a lil low quality)

I enjoyed a lot Risujin's client (http://risujin.org/tremulous/) before moving to trem-servers' one (http://www.trem-servers.com/index.php?page=downloads)

I think, istead of adding features like transparent console, it will be better to fix bugs. For example viewing buildables on other place than bbox in some cases.

Or add better bloom and xreal ;D

I'm pretty sure that bug is cgame, so can't be fixed by the client.  It's also been fixed a long time ago.
Semi-pure + the updated cgame should fix it.

Also, stop spreading FUD about the SDL stuff.  That was only on windows, and people knew it was broken.  It's your own damn fault if you use code that comes with a big warning saying it doesn't work.  No released version of anything you're meant to use has that bug.

Sorry, didn't realize it was like that. In that case I throw my support behind the Trem-Servers client.

i'm an ex user of the trem-servers client. i switched to tremfusion because amanieu would kill me if i didn't :) plus the ncurses console makes life so much nicer ~
