I recommend you getting/learning Photoshop or the Gimp (http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/) (freely available) if you want to do this kind of stuff, there are plenty of tutorials available too =)

Not bad not bad at all Helix. Meh im not good on constructive critisism but here is what I have to say. Try to look up a tutorial on how to design banners. You could try taking what you learn from the tutorial and spice up the one you just posted.

My two cents :D

thats not on paint. On paint you cant erase the back round and the text has a white box around it.

Well, you still can't erase the background but the white box issue is an easy fix.
