(Actually, 17b isn't officially on the list, but I'm sure p1 would love it there)

Aahnyway;

Ogers in Oblivion use the same sound effects as the Dragoon.

Anyone know the sound library that all these effects were taken from?

What are you on about? Ogres don't sound the same as dragoons.

they do in oblivion, infact camels sound like goons aswell.

btw morrowind is better.

The Tyrant roar is an Elephant.
The Mara pain sound is a baby polar bear.
Those are the two I know

Yeah, I just got Oblivion and was pondering about the ogre sounds.

The goon is a camel, or that's what I've always been led to believe.
If I can find the video that convinced me, I'll put it up.

There's also the basi death noise in Oblivion, I just can't recall what enemy makes it.

I wonder if the Oblivion team used the same sound library and recordings, or if they're just the same source animal.


[Edit: Ckit appears to be a bluejay(bluebird?)'s mating call cropped into one repetition and then slowed down.]

"Look, I think we need more reverb on that, Phil. Hold on, I'll add some low end, too. Stand by to kick the camel... we have tape speed, and kick the camel - Go!"

All the sounds identified so far are natural calls, no kicking camels or choking baby polar bears needed.
I would almost love that job though.

Wait, don't Trolls sound the same as Dragoons? I swear Ogres grunt, but then again I haven't played Oblivion in months...I will return to it l8r when I have free time.
