Isn't such action completly useless ? Turret killing freshly spawn aliens will only make them spawn somewhere else. If you cannot damage the dretch before it gets killed by the turret, you get no money and no points for the next stage. Whereas killing the egg would give you 150 cr :)
Also, you used 16 points to paralyse a 10 points building. Not a good tradeoff I say.

What came first?
The egg or the turrets? ;)

Here's one:

How's this one?
Now for someone reason, is it just me or is there too many turrets to have available build points for? I think this was taken during a game on Beer Garden.

It does make for more interesting gameplay sometimes.
Humans generally do one of two things:
A) Create an impregnable fortress that has to wait for the blessings of SD to be sniped Tesla by Tesla.
B) Push the front and build forward bases.
If they decide to go for B, it can be very interesting. Tonight, on ATCS, they did just that. They pushed us back while they started to set up camp in the middle. We stormed the old base, destroyed it, and built some goodies. They finished setting up camp in the middle, and SD set in a few minutes later.
Outside defenses were destroyed, and they were bottled into the middle.
We killed any Bsuits that came out until they were strapped for cash. We cleared out the right half of the building, and then the left where all of their goodies were.
We managed to win that one, but it was close. If their team wasn't so noobish, they might have won.
If the human team has experienced players, though, the humans will win most of the time.
It gets a guy thinking, it might be cool if bugs got more points.

Funny to see the crappy high gamma in some of the screenshots.

Mine was too dark so I lightened it up a bit before posting it. Also I do think that many of the maps are too dark, especially if you are not playing in a blacked out room, so ramping up the gamma isnt all that crappy.

Its wierd cos I play on the default gamma and everything looks fine.
-
I can't see for shit with the default lightning settings.

It usually strongly depends on the monitor you are using... Lots of old models (or cheap TFTs) don't have a high maximum brightness and a relatively dark game like Tremulous will be too dark to play.
Graphics adapter and driver settings can influence that, too.
I have no problems playing at default gamma with a 300 cd/m² brightness and 700:1 contrast display.
