It's very basic but I can't for the love of me find how to make hallways (or doors). There was a tutorial on it but it said use the clipping tool and that takes out huge chunks of my block. I'm making a castle with one of those big doors that folds up into the castle. So how do I cut out a door shape into the castle? Should I split the castle into pieces or can I just make a hole in my large block?

Edit: Nevermind, I think I'll use the split cut thing.
jesus christ, i didn't know people could be that ignorant.
Now now, he said he'll use the "split cut thing."
Yes, lets be rational here.
A good man learns from his own mistakes.
A better man learns from others mistakes.
But only an idiot learns from the governments mistakes.
You could at least be helpful instead of harassing him :\
You can split the wall into multiple pieces to make the doorway. Make a piece to the left and a piece to the right that are the entire height, leaving a gap in the middle the width of the doorway you want, then make a piece starting from the top of the wall going down as far as you want the height of the doorway to be. Hallways would just be connected doorways.
you don't even need to split it. you can create brushes.
Look at Procyon map. You can find the .map file in the pk3. Study the brushwork and textures.

If you'd just explain how, I wouldn't have to explain the way I do it - apparently the wrong, more complicated way.
just create a brush the size of the door/hallway and click subtract( make sure your brush is hollow)

Thanks for actually helping! And I learned a less complicated way to do things XD

Maybe less complicated but also worse.
But for lazy people, that's a fair trade!
