What is weapon_hand.md3, may I please get an example of this model...

a weapon_hand.md3 is the hand the is holding the weapon so it doesnt look likes its floating in mid-air.

Sorry bacon665, but GTK Radiant is for map editing, not model editing.

You can import the models into few pieces of modeling software, there are likely plugins for Blender that are hidden somewhere on the internet. Milkshape 3d (http://chumbalum.swissquake.ch/ms3d/download.html) has built in support for importing them. Unfortunately while importing .md3 models the animations are lost.

also you can use an import script/export scrip for Md3s to import into blender

gmax has a md3 importer which loads all animations, but can only export to .md3 or .md5...
