Okay, I'll post some of my random pixel art works here...  I'll add more later. Constructive criticism, flaming and general douchebaggery welcome.

This could be a good sig img.

Just get rid of the font entirely, and make it square.

I was just testing the font (mainly glow effects)... I don't usually make any sort of fonts so I tried something.  :) I can see the text just fine and it's pixel art. It should be small!

i guess it would work better with a brighter background... or a transparent one to make it ultra useful.

That background is grey unless my eyes decieve me (which they never have).
