I was wondering if you know of any good laptops for gaming that also have good cooling system? My current laptop is getting a bit old and I was looking for a new one. My maximum price is around 1700$. If somethings a tad above that I won't care but I'd prefer something cheaper =).
The main problem I had gaming on my current laptop is it would shut down when it got to hot; and it got hot fast. So I'm looking around for a laptop with a good cooling system so I could actually game on it without it exploding.
Thanks guys.

Select one, customize it, and you're good to go. Only three of the laptops are out of your price range. Also, note that these are gaming machines so they are guaranteed to have decent cooling systems.

the only real problem with a macbook is OS X gimping that hardware. they're so fucking sexy. ps: open it up if you do get it, and remove the thermal paste, and reapply. moron mac assemblers put *way* too much on.

I had a mac once...Then I killed my family and raped Steve jobs. He wasn't gone because of a cold man.

Internal clock said 1989. Only works with floppy disc, no USB port, less than 50 Mo of HDD. :D

Don't get anything with AMD if you're looking for something that won't overheat/die on your..just a heads up. AMDs already run hot, through them in a laptop where everything is more restricted and you're screwed...I have a Dell with an AMD processor =.- Worst. Idea. Ever.

Funny, my desktop CPU is an AMD and it runs with 18-25° Celcius while browsing the web and up to 40-50° Celcius while playing Tremulous. Maybe you should find yourself a manufacturer which knows how to cool notebooks efficiently (or stop smoking and clean that damn cpu cooling unit ;-p)

most notebook manufacturers overuse thermal paste, or i've seen. cleaning all surfaces off inside and reapplying a small amount of good paste usually brings notebook temps down a good 5-10°C
