Hey is there a way you can use different GUIDS so that you don't have to share your admin with other people who play Tremulous on the same computer (in this case my brothers)?
I'm guessing that TremFusion CAN with the cl_ _____ command = 2 (I forgot the cmd :\)
So any ideas please? So I don't have to share my admin with them (or vice-versa)?
Some of my brothers might abuse cause their immature (12 and under).

For TJW's client on a Windows machine, I believe the GUID was stored in
Documents And Settings\Local Settings\Application Data\Tremulous.
It was either that or DAS\AD\Trem.
There you had your randomly generated (or not) GUID stored and you could
rename it to back it up. Then you could just reenter Trem and it'd give you
a new one.
Haven't played Trem in forever so if there's a simpler way, I'm unaware
of it and I'll leave it to others.

If you use different login accounts on the computer they will each have their own guid.
-
If for whatever reason you can't do different accounts, then you can start tremulous with "+set fs_homepath /path/to/somewhere" to effectively simulate the same thing, with each player using a different folder to store it all in.
But separate user accounts is the "correct" way to do it.

It's actually my parents computer, and I can't use their password protected computer. I have made an account but got caught so yeah.

I already tried that..

Tried and failed.

Just awesome we use different binds (I have folders with our names in it execing different stuff. I'll just add it to the startup bind to each of ours and everything.)
So if I just make a new folder and relocate the fs_homepath, will their be any bugs/problems? And will I have to copy the Tremulous folder, or just make a new one and let it make itself (I believe it does that by default, right?)?
Anything I have to backup?
Thanks guys, I need to fix this mess.
Also remember this is TremFusion I'm talking about.

It'll make the folder it's self. The only down side is you will both have to download all the downloadable maps etc.
-
Or just let one download them copy and paste the maps in the right directory.

Hey when I (try to) change the homepath, it says it's copyrighted >.<
Can anyone help me with this? D=
EDIT: Also, now it's using my bro's GUID and doesn't have a qkey :o
-
You mean "write protected" lol. You need to set it in shortcut properties (+set fs_homepath path/to/somewhere), it can't be changed when trem is already running.
To see what folders it is looking in, type fs_[tab] in trem console.

When I used to fake alot, I used cl_guidServerUniq.
When I was with my real nick, Colynn, I was with cl_guidServerUniq 0 (for admins level etc). And when I faked, with cl_guidServerUniq 1.
PS: cl_guidServerUniq 1 makes you have an uniq GUID on each server.

Colynn, I was with cl_guidServerUniq 0 (for admins level etc). And when I faked, with cl_guidServerUniq 1.
because turning a security feature off to use admin rights makes everything better.

Security?

if your guid is the same on all servers, then by joining a server you give the server op your admin on all servers you had it on.

Ah thanks. Well, I just used it to be undercover, nothing much.
