Title: .game file help
Post by: Saturn on August 22, 2009, 12:48:38 am
Alright this link:

http://tremmapping.pbworks.com/Starting+Tremulous+Mapping#IngameMappingCommands

Is my mapping guide.I have installed GTKradiant 1.2.11 and 1.2.13 according to the installations rules:

http://tremmapping.pbworks.com/GtkRadiant1_2-Win32

I am having problems with the .game file...In order for Tremulous to be included in the Games Drop list,I need to make a text directory named trem.game.Alright now its trem.game. And the installation rules told me to include this text in the text directory:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1" standalone="yes"?>

<game

name="Tremulous"

gametools="<path to Tremulous>/radiant-1.2/"

basegame="base"

engine="tremulous.exe"

shaderpath="scripts/"

/>
Ok,I done that,And i put it on my games file,(in the GtkRadiant-1.2)

But,Tremulous is not in games list. Yes,I also tried the Folder check starting from:

Start Menu>Control Panel>Folder Options(in classic view style)

I wish to make a map,but I am facing some difficulties,any help? or suggestions? I'm really lost..  ???

you're using a very old version of radiant, try 1.5 or netradiant

1.5 Does not have the z-bar,which i think its a handy tool,unless if someone finds a netradiant mapping guide,then i can go with that too  ;D

The Z-bar is really useless because all you have to do is just Ctrl-ESC to switch to X, Y, or Z look mode.
