What's wrong with the create server button? Doesn't it work as well or something or do you actually need a seperate server?
-
you have to host a dedicated server to load game.qvms which you have to do to use bots the host server button in-game dosnt have a qvm its just default play.
-
Fair enough, I didn't realize that because I use a tremfusion client that I modified with the bot game.qvm so every time I use the create server button I can add bots in game.
-
The create server button can be made to load other qvm's, just the server built into the client is old and doesn't work with new qvm's.
And 127.0.0.1 is your IP.

ok so....does every one enter in their in-game console 127.0.0.1 to join the server they are hosting or just me? if its a different IP whats the easyest way to figure out what it is?
-
127.0.0.1 always refers to the current computer.
-
To find out your IP address(es) in Windows type ipconfig into a console, in linux type ifconfig.

ahhh ok cause i added a section in my Pbot guide at xserverx forums i would be a little scared if you could figure out what my ip was that easily, i have widget that tells me my ip and what ever i want to know about it, it can even tell me the temprature of certain computer parts (well my computer cant but my brothers can on my comp where the temp should be it says n/a getting off-topic though sorry)
