Hello everyone!
I'm not new to Tremulous, even if I have just created an account on the forum right now.
Maybe you already met me ingame, my nick: (Nova|D@ve)
For a week I got bored and decided to make a LEGO versions of some parts of the Tremulous universe.
I'm sure all of you know about LEGO, so I'll stop wasting your time and I give you the link of my current work:
http://picasaweb.google.com/PhoenixOfNightfall/LEGOTremulous?feat=directlink (http://picasaweb.google.com/PhoenixOfNightfall/LEGOTremulous?feat=directlink)
Tell me what you think about it, maybe you don't care about LEGO but you surely care about Tremulous so how do you think this looks?
Please, be frank.
D@ve
PS: The Overmind doesn't look good for now, it's a quickly made one, an early prototype.
PS²: Don't bother the sheep plush you can see on one of the pictures, it's a gift from my girlfriend.

Got cut off?
-
I pressed a wrong key and my message was posted unfinished but I edited it and added what was missing.
Sorry for my english, if you don't understand something, tell me, maybe I don't write proper english grammar, I'm doing my best.
-
That is win ;D
-
That's surprisingly impressive, especially considering what you have to work with.
The Granger is cool :).
-
Another David! ;-)
Thanks for your comment, apart from the alien classes, other things are mainly prototypes that could be changed or made better if people say they are not well made.
For exemple the node is a problem as you can't make the blue "holograms" on it. Instead of letting the node an assembly of 3 simple blue plates, I added some glasses as you can see on one picture, I didn't know if you would like it, and... actually I still don't know... x)
Do I have to change something? What do you think about the node, bsuit, etc? I'm not sure if I made them very well. (Especially those 2...)
LEGO does not always suit good for making things, but that's not a reason to not trying to do things that looks like they were real.
I also tried to work with proportions as best as I could, I think I did it correct, not perfect but not awfully bad, what do you think about it?
-
This is really awesome. Maybe can you make the Overmind fatter?
I find the basilisk well made. ;)
-
Good job ;)
-
hehe, nice :D
-
The gwanger is awesome. :granger:
-
Nice job. The tesla and basi are both very cool. ;)
-
Fucking awesome.
I will take this time to admit that I played with legos hardcore up until I was 16.
-
These are great!
-
Cool!
-
Hi!
Thanks for your comments!
I've added 19 pics to my gallery.
I don't know why, but Google Photos didn't let me set a name to three of the 26 pics.
These unnamed pics should be labbeled as "Building on ATCS".
I really don't like the reactor but I was currently unable to do better. Maybe some of you have an idea?
I managed to modify the OM, what do you think about it Colynn?
What do you think about weapons? And what about the DC? I think it is too small...
Still wondering if you think node and bsuit are well made...?
-
Love the Bsuit and Tesla. Nice job.
-
Pure awesome.
-
wow nice! i found it really cool ;D :overmind: :reactor: :repeater: :telenode: :tesla: :trapper: :turret: :tyrant:
-
Nice, I like the alien classes most, especially basilisk.
RC needs to be thicker tho.
-
Me likey much much! :D
Can a mod put this art thread in the art subforum?
-
I'll re-work RC soon and OM still need some work too.
I will be away today but maybe tomorrow I will work on those.
-
Well done :)
the human weapon's are cool, and the alien classes :)
-
LOL, i impressed how much is tremulous community creative. Blasted, n00b bsuit flamer :P, rushing, and, i downloaded these pics - thanks! :) I wait for goons and tyrs and finally human base destroying :P
-
Awesome,
5 geek points 8)
-
i think the battlesuit is as good as it can get
-
I'll soon work on goon and tyr but actually I have no idea on how I would make them.
I have a problem for the tyrant anyway, I think I wont have enough dark grey LEGO parts, maybe I'll use light frey ones (the same as the walls), but I don't think it will suit well... =S
First I want to rework OM and RC ;-)
-
:D
-
Superbly done. I like the 'first person' shots you've done in a couple of cases :)
-
I have worked on a better OM and RC but I didn't have time to take pics so coming soon.
Pics from hive and booster also coming soon.
I have made the acid tubes a little bigger and I tried to make a correct egg but I'm still struggling with it... =/
-
Wow, you sir are seriously talented. That plushy is awesome too btw! ^^
-
Awesome job!!
Next project: Lego stop motion of an actual game
Get cracking!
-
That plushy is awesome too btw! ^^
Thanks, my girlfriend will be happy when I tell her... ^^
For stop motion, I did never do that and I begin school at university on 21th so I don't think I'll have the time to do so.
Actually I hope I will have it to being able to show you at least a goon. Rant will be a real matter because of colour, but maybe, if we are lucky... x)
Oh, I didn't noticed the cade was missing too. I'm also planning to make a jetpack. =)
See you soon with new pics, still doesn't have much time today, and wont have more tomorrow, erf... x)
bb guys, thank you for your comments! =)
-
Omfg..
Pure Proness
Get in v4 :>
-
Hi all
I finally got time to take one pic!
You can see the hive, jetpack, booster, modified tube/OM/RC/DC, and also Goon' prototype v0.1.
I'm far not happy with this goon version, i think proportions are bad (goon is too small), and the fore legs are not big enough, but that's a first try, better coming soon if I got time.
-
Only thing better than Legos or Tremulous is Legos and Tremulous! You sir, are win. Keep us posted, I for one will be eagerly awaiting your updates.
-
I'm verry happy to see you like my creations, but I'm not sure I will be able to update anything soon.
As I have already said somewhere in this topic, I'm going to University on Sunday evening.
I will only have week-ends to work on LEGO Tremulous, and I must see my girlfriend too, it's the most important.
I really don't know what will happen at University, if I will have enough time to play Trem etc... So I really can't promise you there will be updates.
BUT if I have the time on week-ends, you can be sure there will be updates because I'm still not happy with some of the mocs (especially the goon which is far from being final version).
See you next week-end I hope!
-
Ok Ok, I've managed to give you a correct goon today.
I've uploaded five pics featuring goon v1.0. (earlier goon's pic was v0.1)
You can also see a quickly made barricade.
For me now, the goon is ok. If you see something wrong, tell me, I'll try to correct it when I got time.
Still to do:
- Tyrant
- Hovel (not sure I wille make it)
Do I forget something?
-
you should buy a butt load of LEGOS and re-create ATCS with legos lol. make it open room so we could see inside bases though. that'd be kamahamacool times ten.

This.
-
Lol that's what I wanted to do, but it's impossible to buy such a box of LEGO.
I won't buy 10000 parts of all colors and all shapes to use only 200 grey plates... x)
-
Awsomeness! ;) great job, you must have quite a lego collection to have all the right colors.
Also, if you don't mind the annoying software, you can build things in your computer, and then order all the parts that you used online: http://shop.lego.com/Product/Factory/About.aspx
-
That is 110% Epic Win.
-
LEGO Digital Designer does not have all the existing lego pieces.
Anyway, I use non-standard ways to assemble pieces.
Look at basi's legs for exemple. LEGO's software will never let you do that.
(I'm not even sure skeleton's arm is a part you can use in LDD)
I would be very very happy to see LDD covering ALL lego parts, even Bionicle etc... But I don't think this will ever happen... ='(
I still want to know what you think about the goon? Is it ok?
I began working on the rant this morning. I've done the leggs and a part of the body. I won't finish it for today, maybe next week. =)
>>> EDIT: I forgot to tell you I re-worked the barricade and the egg to their (I think) final version.

You don't mean like... LegoTrem 1.2?! *Gasp of disbelief and orgasmic excitement.*
-
awesome!
I like the first one the most =D
-
I loled out loud. ;D Great work!
-
I loled as well, as I spent good 10 years as an official Lego addict. Some good memories. And if your girlfriend doesn't mind you sharing your time between her and Lego, then she's definitely the right kind of girlfriend! Bazi reactor attack was pure awesomeness and all models are highly recognizable and of best quality!
-
Nice!
-
Hi everyone!
My studies at university took me too much time to work on the Tyrant during the year.
Now it's over and I could finish the work begun.
I updated the gallery with pictures of the rant v1 and new versions of Barricade and Egg I talked about in my last post.
Reminder, the gallery link: http://picasaweb.google.com/PhoenixOfNightfall/LEGOTremulous?feat=directlink# (http://picasaweb.google.com/PhoenixOfNightfall/LEGOTremulous?feat=directlink#)
I'm sure there is still much things to enchance so please comment all these!
Thank you very much!

hahah awesome :D
-
Perfect size ratios! :D
-
Those are pretty nice :). I never was a HUGE lego fan, but my nephew was. A couple of times I borrowed some lego instructions of his (usually starwars) and I opened up blender. Made a bunch of peices, and built thing from the instructions. I got a kick out of doing that.
-
Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. Also I loled at family picture.
PS: In the picture "egg v2 and barricade v2", what other building is on the wall? I think its a hive, but can't tell
-
Yes it is, and if you don't recognize it then it has to be reworked... =)
-
:dretch: - rawr!
RAWR! - :tyrant:
-
Do you know an easy way to insert thumbnails from my gallery in a forum post?
I'd like to put my gallery in a post instead of linking it but I don't want to add the "[img]" url for every of the 47 photos...
-
Click Additional Options below your post and attach the files to the post.

"Maximum attachment size allowed: 1024 KB, per post: 6"
That's not enough for what I wanted to do, but nevermind, people who are interested in my works can just click the gallery link and access all the pictures, thank you anyway! :)
-
I personally like it that way. Easier to browse :) You can always post 1-2 photos when you update the album, as a sneakpeak.
-
Great Job! Love them all!! ;D
-
Awesome! I wish I still had my legos, I'd totally build bases out of them.
