Hey i was just wondering what was everyones first tremulous map they played on? if you cant remember, then gg u can still spam topic i guess.

I ended up getting stuck in the area under the trains as a dretch. Couldn't for the life of me wallwalk out of there.

Ohh god. That was so long ago. D: I think niveus was the first map I ever saw.
Remember being a human and being in that open space with the two barrels near the closest door to human's default.
After that I can remember being freaked out by bsuits on atcs. :-X

It would have been ATCS.
I was introduced to Tremulous at school, everyone would play it in class and it was usually ATCS. Those days are rare now though, year 11 means work! work! work! Now the computers are mostly macintosh and don't allow trem to work :'(

It's hard to remember which map I saw first because at first it was just a game my friend played who got to know it through the ultimate guitar community.
My earliest memories of actually playing were as a dretch on the walls of arachnid2 (making crazy whooping sounds as I jumped on and around them meaninglessly) and watching our turrets get mashed by tyrants on nexus6 (learning that tyrants were mean).

Uh, I guess the first was ATCS. Second was Niveus.
Doh, still remember my feeling when I saw battlesuit "Whoot, what a fckin alien!" - Then I ran back to base shooting him. :police:

My first map was tremor because i remember spawning and getting lost in the human base

tremor, i had to walk back into the telenode i spawned from to get the screen bright enough to kill the dretch attacking me.

Niveus.
I got into the game, and the entire human base was dead.
There was someone camping with a dragoon telling me to "build".
I had no idea how, and so I kept spawning with rifle and shooting at him.
The way the kill message looked made me think that a dragoon was just a robot or something, and that the alien team was really advanced and technological because they had robots.

ATCS I remember I was a human and I saw humans going outside the front door but I was too afraid to follow them because I thought I would get lost on the map.

karith station. i remember when i got a tyrant i jumped around the room and went to get a beer to celebrate while i was at my friend's house and came back to find that i was dead

Definitely ATCS
I thought the advanced granger was so cool because it could shoot projectiles unlike the lame dretch. Yeah, I was so pro :<
Oh, and of course then I thought advanced basilisk was the best class because the Harry Potter basilisk was so bad-ass :>

Sadly, mine was a custom map ;X It was MarsBase I got raped in a office room on that map and it was on the server uBP to.

Pretty sure it was uncreation, first thing I did was run off the edge on accident, use to games stopping you with invisible barriers.

my first map was ATCS i remember conplaining about that the humans had Robots ( wich turned out to be battleSuits ) and light shooters ( wich turned out to be lucifer cannons ) and that we could only be drethes (since i never got a evo :D)

My first actual game was on arachnid, on either dretch storm or SST. The game in which I got my first kill was on gloom3t, on SST. I remember that one vividly, we were camping on the ledge and had a mini base behind the rock, I was camping in there and suddenly I saw NUKE appear on the screen. I was like WTF? I suppose everyone stole my kills before that :<
People were very helpful to me too, when I asked something I got about 7 private messages. Didnt know how to answer those though :<

i remember the base being in the elevator room! i couldn't really do anything though because i didn't know what ping was then so i chose any server, i had like 350 ping!

Nexus. I remember clearly the human base was built over that thing in the middle of default room and a lot of people was jetpacking over it and I couldn't find how to do anything after spawning and falling out of base. My first impression of Tremulous was awful. I gave Trem a second try several months later.

First map what i saw was ATCS, my big brother was playing it.
And first map what i played was arachnid2 i think.

I don't think I remember the map, but I do remember that I first played on SST (before I even knew the concept of low ping = better game)
I still remember that SST was where I would learn how to play better.

Being someone that doesn't remember what he had for dinner last night, I'm gonna guess that it was one of those one maps. Beyond that I haven't a clue :P

The first map I've played is definitely ATCS and I don't think I'll ever forget it either. Me and my friends (around 12 of us) used to find random free games and just play together in the University's lab. I found tremulous and hosted the game and guess what, atcs is the first on the list. :o
Still find it funny how I got frustrated at how the granger's claw is weaker than dretch despite the size. Long story short, we all had alot of fun but in the end only 2 of us continued playing. That was 3 years ago. True story

Transit. I remember the boxes stacked up being visible where I spawned, and I kept trying to build there but it was too far. I didn't see a tyrant until after a week of playing (guess the games ended too quickly) and my mind was blown.

I remember my first game was on Arachnid2 on Darklurker's Lair. Back then, people thought the :dragoon: was unstoppable before humans got to S3, so I decided to dazzle people with ridiculous S1 shotgun control and I fucking wasted all of DoD's goons. That's when I met Ozzy, who ended up being the only alien with enough evos left to get a :tyrant:. I quickly realized that he had the charisma to make up for his skill deficiency, so I formed AoD and invited him to be my consiglieri.

Atcs on X server, cuz it was the only one where I could buy new guns.(you don't start with a rifle) I thought that this was real tremulous and all the other servers had retarded versions where you could only jump three times in a row before your screen turns black. Sadly, it took several months for me to figure it out.
