Title: wireframes of buildables don't show up
Post by: N.U.K.E. on September 25, 2009, 05:07:34 pm
I just isntalled gtkradiant 1.5.0, and according to all manuals out there I started ny putting in a reactor. Nice and all, if only I could see the wire frame in the grid! All I see is the grid of course, and a little axis symbol. I can see the reactor in 3d view though. Can anyone help, this is really confusing! D:

view--->show/hide----show models(or something along those lines

Thanks! I'll try that as soon as I get on my pc :D

edit: It didn't work, hide/show only offered to hide selected, or to show hidden
Show didn't contain a models option.
In the filter category there was a models option, but that didn't work.

I don't have the wireframes/bboxes/whatever either (Net Radiant) :( Tho it is not necessary, it would help.
The screenies in Starting Tremulous Mapping (http://tremmapping.pbworks.com/Starting+Tremulous+Mapping) are of older version of radiant, 1.4 I'd guess, and the bboxes don't seem to be accurate...

Why do you think I'm using netradiant? I'm using gtkradiant 1.5 so wha-?
I guess you ment to quote uniq there. :3
Does anyone have a link to 1.4 so I can try if that works? And is that version ready for trem or do I have to make a .game file and all that stuff =/

Ingar's netradiant builds > 1.5 > netradiant > 1.4 ;D
Fixed

So nobody knows of a way to fix this? Damn, then I can't work it out. I need something to compare with to make it on a proper scale. :(

32 game units = 1 meter, 1 unit = 3.125 cm, corridors in Nexus6 are up to 8m (256 gu) wide (you can use /viewpos in-game to measure). Player sizes are at end of this guide (http://tremmapping.pbworks.com/Starting+Tremulous+Mapping).
You can get buildable sizes from entities.def file (open with text editor, team_human_mgturret (0 .2 1) (-25 -25 -20) (25 25 20) -> 50x50x40 gu).
Also players need a 1-2 gu extra to fit thru places.
