Post by: amz181 on September 30, 2009, 11:57:29 am
Okais. I have tried again and again to get func train to work but i cannot :( i have seached the forums and interwebs but i always seem to get it wrong.

Could you please either point me to a good up to date guide, or tell me how to do it.

Sorry again, i know its been posted before but it wont work :(

Also, just as a premise, i want to make a constantly moving train.

What exactly is wrong with your func_train?

I got my lift to work but sometimes it just stops halfway for somereason.

1) Make your 'Train' brushwork and include a brush textured with the origin texture (This brush is VITAL)

2) Select all of the brushes and turn them into a func_train

3) Set up the path, with path_corners and link them together in order [Ctrl+K] (Note it MUST be a circuit, that is every corner must connect to another and eventually return to the start one)
(Note2 the train will position itself with the origin brush at the path_corner's position)

4) Link the func_train to the first corner

That should function, if not send us the '.map'.
