1.Navigate to your base folder.
2. Find "autogen.cfg"
3. Open "autogen.cfg"
4. Find line r_mode
5. Delete line r_mode
6. Save and close "autogen.cfg"
7. Restart Tremulous

Preferable steps:

1. Seatch forum for line GLW_StartOpenGL()
2. Find 10000000 results
3. Fix according to one of 1000000000 replies.

CTRL+F -> Search for "autogen.cfg" -> Delete "autogen.cfg". If you can't do that, then what the hell are you doing in front of a computer? Get a console.

CTRL+f -> autogen.cfg -> CTRL+f -> r_mode -> delete that to fix the problem without messing up binds and such, although considering your computer talents you probably havn't changed much in the way of settings or created any binds.

i am bumping up this topic,as it relates to me.I cannot run opengl, the instructions posted previously were not clear.Pls do a video.I am currently using windows xp,but micrsoft will stop windows xp into 2014,this worries me as my graphic card is outdated, and support has been stopped, thus iam trying to look for a way to run tremulous without opengl and not laggy.

I can run Tremulous on my 8 year old laptop with 15 to 20 fps at lowest graphics settings.  It's ugly but playable.  Try +set cl_renderer GL when you start Trem.
