Whats the easiest way to dodge Rants/Goons, Except for strife like hell :D

Boomstick, there is definitely a lot of boards here. Have a look around, see which ones fit best for your questions instead of dumping everything in general.

I don't even know if there's any real strategy when it comes to dodging other than don't stand still?..
I mean, if you're fighting a decent player with a good mouse you're screwed no matter what... The only time you're ever going to machine gun a goon/rant is if the person you're fighting has to constantly look down at his keyboard to make sure his fingers are on the right buttons (new player).. or if he's using a track pad or just plain sux.. Lol.
Whenever I get into a confrontation with an alien as a human player, I just think back to football principles... make em think you're going one way then break opposite.. that's pretty much it I think...
For example, often most people when encountered by a goon immediately move away while shooting at it.. I do this to, except right before I think he's going to chomp I move forward instead, surprise him and either jump over (from ramp) or jump up to lessen the blow, immediately after I start the ballet where we dance in circles till he cuts me off or I have to reload/run out of stamina/bump my mouse against my keyboard/get dizzy/get bored/get distracted/feel emo(suicidal)/just don't care.. Lol.

best bet for dodging is to build ledge rets and stand on those (ONLY CROUCH IF YOU ARE S2 AND HAVE HELMET/LAMOUR)
alternatively, you can stand still (the alien definitely won't see this one coming it's so unpredictable)

Just hilarious........ I loled when i saw this. But no that's not what would happen. I'm and Alien,I would like to think I'm pro,but anyway (I know I'm just way above average) I play, and I expect everything to happen, only trouble I have with is when I play on a lagged server...... Stupid lagg!!!! Lol But I can hit him no matter what.

best thing to do when dodging is to learn how to compensate for unlagged, ie. dodge earlier/later than you normally would, depending on your ping.

I've simply taken it technique by technique, utilizing the new ones that work for a time until they are no longer efficient, and then combine them with other ones that have worked before.
If I become willing to do so, I will make a sort of guide that will be more of a reference, so people would be able to look through the list and learn new moves, dance by dance.

aliens get very fucking confused if you sidestep as they are coming at you, then walk backwards past them without turning.
I do this all the time. Noone gets wtf i'm doing, even if i'm dodging without seeing.
It also pretty regularly gets me alive rather than dead.
Unless i mess up and walk into the alien.
Edit: Also, just moving from side to side, or simply circling the alien dosn't seem to work that good anymore. It's what every alien has come to expect, so it gets me killed pretty fast if i try. But it's hard to get used to not doing it, since that was what worked best in the ol' days.
