Title: Some Questions&doubts about new upgrade of Tremulous (1.2)

Hi guys. I'm new in this forum but veteran in the game, i have been playing this game around 3 years ago but with differents nicknames. Now, It seems the new version of trem will be release soon at last after a long time but, anyway, i have some doubts about this improve, such as:

1º) System reload of humans.

Well, this Command "r" is not much used in the game thanks to the auto-reload system when you use up your cartridges but I wondered if the new incoming version change this and apply the same like urbanterror, i mean, you will have to use the "reload" command whenever you wanna keep shooting your foes without the auto-relaod systema, this will be more realist in the game but, of course, this will change the balance in the interest of alien team. well, the humman team should have some handicaps ...

2º) Armor Upgraded aliens.

Another curious thing about the actual versión is the armor feature of alien in the upgraded status. It is obvious that upgraded form provide aliens of new features, more damage, fast move and attack, more health points but... what about the armor?. For example the damage of a bullet on the normal dragoon is 5hp but its the same in the upgraded dragoon, 5 hps, why should not the aliens, in their upgraded form, get a improve in their armor? at least, the damage of a bullet could be different if the bullets hit in the head than the tail.

3º) Animated secuency of egg/telenode respawn.

Between spawn and spawn, it could be a animate secency in the egg or node, couldn't it?

4º) Model of Shotgun and relaod shell-one-shell.

Well, the shotgun is my favourite weapon in any FPS game and thanks god, tremulous has not forgot it. I saw the art pics of Stamtum's shotgun, it's excellent i like it so much but what will be the reload system? i think it will be like Urbanterror or Half-life , shell and shell and the second button could be used to shoot a double shells? (so the reload will have more time)

Why would you ever not want to reload in that situation?  Making you press R just seems pointless.  And I often reload myself, not going to engage the enemy on a mostly empty clip.

If you give the aliens Armour, then you have to lower there hp to compensate, so end result is nothings changed.  I like the current divide of how humans get better via external forces (gun and armour) whereas aliens get better by improving themselves.

Adding more animations is always awesome.  As I understand it there's already a big backlog of stuff to do and not enough people doing it so I doubt more will be added.

The shotgun thing has been discussed a lot, it would change balance and be a ton of work.

1) The current reloading system is fine...

2) They already get more HP...

3) Egg already has a spawn animation and Telenode sorta does too. (Egg contracts then expands, Nodes energy beam pulses once)
Personally I'd love to see particles from the Node upon a Human spawning.

4) Theres a mod for that around (The individual shell reloading), though you should realize this is a futuristic game and so perhaps the shotgun unlike any at present times actually has a clip.
Firing two shells at once would be far to powerful (In HL2 you can take out pretty much anything with it (Even the Hunters (HL2:EP2))), though might be cool in a mod :D.

I'm in Australia I don't come into contact with any guns (It's near impossible to acquire one here (Unlike the US :P)).
Modern FPS? You mean CoD:MW2? NTY

You have been playing for 3 years but never learned the value of manual reloading? Hmm...

If the number of omg-1.2-sucks threads reaches OVER 9000, I am sure that developers will revert all their game-play changes. Going back to year 2006 For Teh Win
