Hey all i will show u now how to make movies in perfect quality with over 600 fps or 1000 if u want
i dont care xD
here is my first test clip with 120 fps
no effects or something just simple edit
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvl2R8o4pZY&fmt=22
its smooth
and good quality
1. in console /cl_aviFrameRate "120" / 1000 fps max
2. open your .dm_69
3. bind F3 "video" // start record .avi
4. bind F4 "stopvideo"
5. put the large avi file in virtueldub
download virtueldub here: http://dl.cdn.chip.de/downloads/30090/VirtualDub-1.9.7.zip?1258308937-1258316437-4ede26-B-c347fd4da7cc58664574c3fbf5f3e268
6. after u import the avi file u must see about the video.. there is
File Edit View Go Video Audio
7. u click on video --> Framerates
8. make shure u have se it to 120 or with 1000 if u recorded it with 1000 fps
( if u want disable audio then click on Audio--> No Audio for me its better because i have just extracted my data 1.1.0 and after that i go to models/weapons/shotgun(or whatever)/flash0.wav // this is the shotgun sound
9. click on File
10. Save as .avi
and now u can import your avi file in Sony vegas dont forget if u made your clip without
sound then put your gun sound in the movie // look at point 8
11. edit your movie to music and effects, etc
12. render it in Xvid or mp4 // best quality
13. if u dont know where to get the Xvid codec for youtube then
first download this: http://www.free-codecs.com/k_lite_Mega_Codec_Pack_download.htm
install it
after that watch this: http://www.infprod.com/index.php?site=tutorials&action=show&tutorialsID=450
scroll down to see the tutorial
the most important thing is this for HD on youtube like my test clip
and write in your cfg or in console
seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_fullscreen "0"
seta r_customwidth "1280"
seta r_customheight "720"
ok i think thats all if u got problems u can ask me for help :)
i hope all can understand what i wrote there XD
sorry for my bad english ^^
a lot of movies coming soon :P
IAM SORRY >.< wrong THREAD !!!!

Seems way to complicated even for one clip of a whole movie. I think I will stick to fraps, but what does the console thing do?
-
i dont understand what u mean now :s
u mean normal console ? then open just console key -> (^) and write cl_avirframerate 120
and it will be in 120 frames

Smoother record.

Thanks for the tutorial ^^

Is there a video recorder in Tremulous or what program are you talking about.
-
Yes, there is. However make sure you demo what you want to record first though.
-
1+ ^^
u must record your .dm_69 (its your demo)
/video (u will get a large avi file :)
-
Excuse me but... I tried your method with 150 fps. The recording works fine, but the rendered video is very slow, even when I save it with VirtualDub.
Did you ever get this problem ? Or do you just know to fix it ?
Thanks in advance. ;)
-
set the framerate to 24 in virtualdub
-
Thanks for the tip, but how can I get motion blur then ?
-
Aww I was thinking it was outside of trem :(
Not much to show if it's HD or PAL or whatever.
-
Ok, I managed to get this method working. Here is the result :

Sorry for replying to a super old topic but...
Is it normal for a 10 minute demo (/video at 40 fps) to be 23GB after saving it on VirtualDub without sound?

Yes sir. Raw AVI is friggin' huge. You're going to need to compress it.
Also, don't worry about necroing old threads with a legitimate question. In this case, I think it's better to post here than it is to make a new topic.
