Title: Couldnt exec .cfg!
Post by: Mr. Dee on November 26, 2009, 03:43:45 am
I am on my old computer, while my nice one gets repaired.

My binds dont work on this computer, as they do on my nice one.

I have very simple binds, [ exec human.cfg, ] alien, and \ spec.

These binds never seem to work, I always get the "couldnt exec human.cfg" etc.

this is where the configs are placed, maybe this can help your advice to me.

Your autoexec.cfg is not stored there. It is stored in your user directory, and the reason your binds are missing is that they are defined in the autoexec.cfg on your other computer. You need to redefine your binds on your old computer if you don't have a backup of your autoexec.cfg

Hmmm, I think that the actual problem is that they are saved as a txt. Try opening it back up, hitting save as and then hitting save as type: All Files. I think that should fix it.

It's supposed to be text...

windows likes to hide extensions, and helpfully rename autoexec.cfg to autoexec.cfg.txt for you
