It's annoying, cus I'm running the windows installer on WINE just so I don't miss out on the testing. Any help?
Ubuntu are retards who put a broken default shell in.
use bash instead of sh. (or just run it without the sh at all).
figured it out. you gotta chmod +x it so it's recognized as an executable. Odd
No, not odd. You just have to tell your computer to let you execute the file. proof (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=239797)
Lol the link you posted was the place I found myself to get it working. I like ubuntu, just wish they'd hide stuff like that (ala Windows).
Then use windows.
Seriously, if what windows then use windows. Linux is not windows and trying to make it like windows will just result in a mess. (AKA like ubuntu already is, but worse)
All hail captain planet! also karmic is gross.

i followed the instructions on the ubuntu forums link but get a checksum error ???
Try re-downloading the .run. You can find more info here (http://www.topbits.com/checksum-error.html) on checksums.
