  • A real CKIT, when we choose for example a turret, it will show a turret and build time and bp cost on the CKIT screen and so on for the others items and maybe also the number of BPs available.Dunno if it's possible.
Most of this is already available fro the hud, putting it on the Ckit seems redundant, plus it might be hard to read on lower resolutions.
  • The ALT+TAB feature to switch between applications.
??? Works for me despite hearing the music in the background. Windowed more makes things easier too.
  • A /grep command, it's really useful when we want to see a deconner by doing /grep decon .
Sounds good.
  • A laser targeting system for the turrets would be awesome and would really look great. (and maybe for some weaps too.)
Might be a little distracting to see a bunch of laser dots just pointing randomly around the base. Maybe for a mod?
  • Seeing colors when we type something would be nice too ^1 would disappear to show the letters red.
Personally I think that this feature is really helpful when you need to change a certain color, say in a bind. Instead of having to blindly erase letters to find where the ^ is, you can just go directly to the letter and fix it.

Quick, question are we going to be able to use custom huds in 1.2? or are you guys going to lockdown the hud code and make use of a standard hud/menu layout?

AFAIK nothing has been done to prevent custom huds.
However there have been changes that break all the current huds, and mgdev and probably gpp has some cvar that default's to disabling custom huds to prevent 1.1 huds from breaking shit.  (cg_hudFilesEnable maybe?)

Yeah, but a /grep command in the vanilla release would be nice as well. Whether it is searching for deconners or sifting through /serverstatus, searching the console is really useful.

Not just laser dots, laser beams ! =D

And keeping the score even if we disconnects  would awesome too.
