Paradox and I have been working on new assets for tremulous and
heres some teaser shots, god willing we should be done in about 2weeks.

Myth's post gave me a good chuckle, and despite his rather crude exterior, he does make some valid points (Though #5 is ironic). To be fair, this is a work in progress so obviously it'll look like shit then eventually be polished. Knowing Volt from his previous work, he won't disappoint. Second, everybody
rips borrows stuff off of everybody else, its called open source, deal with it.

Thats a photoshop w.i.p, it looks large due to the screenshot being 500x400something, and the icons being made for 840x640(or higher)

I'm trying to stick with trems assets. Jexs assets are eventually going to be put into tremulous and the old ones tossed, i'm just feeling them out and seeing what i can do with them.

Um, lol thats what all the folks who made huds in 1.1 did. WE WERE FORCED To stick with the assets. Purecheck ring any bells :D

Myth, I kinda like you. You're brutal, but smart (mostly). But, please, check your sources (and make sure you have some) before you make an ass of yourself. All HUDs are built with the default assets. Unpure HUDs would be allowed on unpure servers, but those are rare.

Obviously I don't know what trem assets are. :laugh: The point I was trying to make is that you can make a good HUD without taking or "borrowing" others ideas. Just be original...

Don't comment negatively on HUDs if you don't know anything about how they work. DIAF.
Paradox pretty much stole Jex's HUD and it turned out great (considering Jex won't actually release his HUD anytime soon).

Fuck sources make the HUD if people like it its good if no one likes it its bad fucking who cares about what assets are who's if you care then stop crying fucking shut the fuck up about the bullshit and let people go along with the shit you might be using soon anyhow.

I'm currently doodling a few new mockups.
I got a few done today, but they are all pencil+sketchbook.
Ill illustrator them later, and get feedback.
Also, Myth, try to contain your nerdrage. There are sites for that, this isn't one of them.

OMG, MINIMALISTIC HUD please! Don't try to make it "awesome beautifullness", just useful, which doesn't take a lot of place and that doesn't try to disturb you.

So other than modifying the source, will there be an option to move Alien health or human ammo and clip info to the center of the screen right beneath crosshair?

You can place those anywhere on screen just by editing HUD files (text files basically).

There is no download of it here (Probably because its not done) and I assume the development of this Hud will be updated on this thread when Volt decides to get his fat, lazy butt off the couch.

I really like where you put the spectator text.
I don't, however, like how some stuff is at the very top of the screen. In faster paced games like Trem, it's good to have everything where I can see it in one glance. It's not a great big inconvenience, and I might be the only one who feels this way. Just a thought. Looks great, otherwise. :D

Well, after some feedback, I plan to make another layout in which I'll move the things you can see on top of the screen to the bottom.

but would it be possible for there to be the option to use the hud without all the binds and bind reminders? For people like me who write their own configs may not have the same options as you and may not want them.

I believe you can go straight into the files and edit the code to take out those binds/window.

You can, but volt provides a cvar that can do that for you IIRC.
