Title: Thank You Tremulous
Post by: Asmoien on December 17, 2009, 02:53:23 am
Ahh...

I know I shouldn't be making an account (because I'll probably get banned again, for like the 2,348th time, for no reason apparently), BUT I FEEL GENEROUS. And I know I dislike some of the moderators here and everyone else (no, I haven't played tremulous, ever since I stopped like back in 2007?) but I have made a donation. Just for you all to see.

I know the devs deserve it. Thanks. Now I get to be on a wall of supporters, with my name on it (hopefully) :D

I'm most likely not going to check what anyone replied. But felt like saying THANKS anyway.

P.S. It was 10 bucks.

Okay, I couldn't help but see what you people said.

No, it wasn't a bribe. It's just... I think it's time I did something to give back for the troubles that I caused, and troubles that people caused. I mean for fuck's sakes. I'm in second semester at college, no one needs to act like they're 12 anymore. Right?

So that's why I did that, To show I care =]

No it isn't a challenge. If you want a challenge, I think I could out-donate you. Considering I'm going to get a nice 3k check soon, you can guess how much I'd be willing to put in.

I know you hatez me, that's why you already gave me a -1 turret. It's cool. I see how it is.

@Mybrotherdidit: You're just starting college... so you're planning on pumping money from your student loans into a dying "free to play" game with graphics from 2 or 3 generations ago?  Just to prove something to a bunch of us anonymous assholes that will hate you regardless of whether you're able to match Silver's donationor not?!  (Silver, who works like 60 hours a week if I recall correctly.)

PS: Bear in mind that a majority of the people recieving that money are also assholes.

I don't know who you are. How the hell can I hate you? :(

Go ahead though, spend your money, win that bet. Hell if I care.
At least I know that if I ever do donate money, I'm not going to be announcing it publicly.

Have a good evening.

Lol, Okay. You guys are taking this WAAAAAAY too seriously, and WAAAAAAAAAY too far. I have a job at school. It works out fine. It's my $$, and the developers, I decided to donate because what they did was a great piece of work. Considering I leeched from this community for so long, I'm trying to GIVE BACK because I can't be of any use to anyone in any sort of manner--other than donating.

Now, this is REALLY going into the wrong direction. I understand if everyone here was like 15 or 16, but... these stupid posts are turning into a flamewar. So lets just stop here, and stop posting :)

P.S. I announced it publicly, because of several reasons which I shall not name.

It's called conformity. If several people start up something, everyone must follow or else they'll feel left out and embarrassed to disagree against the others. Kind of like the Asch Conformity Line Tests.

Really, really. This IS my last post. I'm not ready for arguing, not right now, not today. Thanks.

Yep, it's sure me. A better me :) and umm... I'll try Trem 1.2. If it's good, I'll donate some more.

Like I said, I support the WORK of the developers (except for whoever banned me, no candy for u). Dunno how else to put it. Not doing it for drama. I just don't want hostile responses that say I'm good for nothing. That's why I wanted to encourage people to donate. Do it for the people who make the game (Like Tim-something). I've ALWAYS wanted to donate, and now that I can, I will to my heart's content.

And paradox, one of the few moderators who aren't total A-holes. Then again, I never read the forums, and this is probably my first time in a year or more. As I recall, Lava Croft reminds me of that dude on American Idol who completely shuts down everyone, with negative remarks. Anyone know his name?

So redundant saying these things. Meh, oh well.

I don't get why I'm attempting to explain something so simple to someone so simple minded.

The show's producers specifically kept simon on because of the way he acts.  They knew he was an asshole and that's his role.  For the first however many seasons you had Paula the nice judge, Randy the honest judge, and Simon the asshole.  It gave variety and humor to every episode in response to both good and bad singers.

Or because it's his show, his money, and his company on the line.
Like he's going to put that much up at stake without retaining a veto.

Of course it's now so big that it's probably worth it even if the record deal does flop, and he has now said that the show will continue without him eventually.

I like David's response more than yours. Because he gave more details.

Especially because you don't know me, and call me simple :( Did you know: I don't watch the american idol show. I've seen it in bits and pieces, enough to compile two (30) minute shows. Here's a thought: There's a girl I know. She happens to be 27 years old (asian, valedictorian in high school) with a PhD in pharmaceutical neurology. What are the odds that a simpleton like me, who apparently doesn't know much, could ever impress a girl like that?

How many women/chicks/girls do you know that view you equal or superior, are that much older, and have achieved that level of degree? AND Are willing to cuddle and sleep with you, like that example above? Pretty sure it takes more than being simple to get this far.

Oh and I didn't know Simon OWNED the show. Really, didn't know. That explains also, why he can act as he likes to.

In 1998 Fuller created the television show formats of Pop Idol, American Idol, World Idol, Australian Idol and Canadian Idol. plus other spin-offs. Pop Idol broke TV records when it was broadcast over two series in the UK, as well as uncovering Will Young. Fuller sold the show to the Fox network in the States, and American Idol quickly became a No.1 rated show. The show has made stars of its presenters Ryan Seacrest, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell, as well as many of its performers. In Australia "Network Ten" purchased the format and to this day Australian Idol is one of the most "original" Idol shows from around the world.

Maybe you should check more facts than first names David?  They're kind of common you know.

@mybrotherdidit(sorry kaine had to steal it)

You're just proving over and over case in point just how simple you are.  I mean, this is back to the twelve year old concept of my dog can beat up your dog.  Seriously?  How mature.  I call you simple because you're asking simple semi-retarded questions on the forums and your response is to brag about your  girl friend who apparently has a PhD?

Not that it proves anything, but my girlfriend is a well founded excelling graphical artist who has made plenty of status and money designing graphics from illustrating, to logos, websites, misc designs, and all the way up to video.  We live on our own in a very upstandard two bedroom apartment at very young ages where we manage to pay the bills and eat just fine without help from any family or government and both attend college part time.  I see, however, no reason to brag about that on a forums for an open source video game or how it proves anything?  Lots of simple minded people end up with partners that they are far from deserving, love is a funny thing in that sense.  Also, calling you simple is such a broad and minor insult it's so difficult to form a proper response to.  Which makes your response just make you look that much more stupid.

I love the conversations on these forums.

Silver :  Evlesoa you're an idiot
David : "Random infactual information"(as per usual)
Evlesoa : I'm not AN IDIOT HAVE YOU SEEN MY GIRLFRIEND!??!

He owns his own record company which is how he landed the judge position.  But that also has nothing to do with why he's allowed to act like he does.  That has more to do with the impact it has on the viewers and how many people watch the show solely because of his attitude.

How do YOU know i'm an immature dumbass? Because I acted childish on the INTERNET? So does that mean every person on the internet (like 4chan) is a dumbass also? Not sure how people can make this assumption on the INTRANETS. Lol. No really, this thread makes me lol :) My friends are older because I'm more mature IRL than you think my friend ;). I'm a nerd/geek when it comes to knowledge. Thank you, NYTM (New York Tech MeetUp) for introducing me to cool CEOs, Website Admins, People who work for Google, etc and people who make it possible for me to get ahead by having some kick-ass connections. Conventions man, they do magic.

Oh and the point wasn't to prove anything. Just that it's funny how people think when they create an illusion and cast it upon someone else, it suddenly becomes true in their eyes :P

As for the Simon dude... mmm. So that idol show isn't even american. Go figure. Ah... Citizenship. I'd feel DEGRADED if I applied for citizenship in America *cough*jk*cough*. Perma Resident card FTW.

I can't believe people watch such stupid shows. I think America's got talent is a MUCH better show. I mean, it's HILARIOUS. More entertaining than American Idol... BY FAR! Anyone agree?
