Title: Why I like Tremulous, and - don't neglect your base!
Post by: Plague Bringer on December 30, 2009, 03:59:02 am
I was perusing the recently uploaded for Tremulous on Youtube, and I came across this! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuPJeXHxpU4)

This character, ThatGuyFromAustria (http://www.youtube.com/user/ThatGuyFromAustria) (whom apparently is community member Zybork (http://tremulous.net/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=4731)!), gives a quick (personal) review of Tremulous, and demonstrates a key concept of Tremulous.
I like his voice (I've got a fetish for accents), seems to know the game, certainly loves it. Could be good for PR and advertising with the coming of 1.2, eh?

From the video description;
Quote
Most computer games are boring - it's the same I played as a teen only with better graphics. The Open Source game Tremulous is an exception, tough [sic], I play it from time to time and still enjoy it. It is one of the rare games where "social skills" outperform fast reactions and mighty weapons.

I hope this is an answer to the question which game an "intellectual" would play ;-)

Enjoy!

Figured I'd give him a shout-out and some well deserved exposure to the community. ;) Enjoy!
