Title: Making server with Ubuntu (Jaunty distro)
Post by: rutofteaching on January 04, 2010, 05:23:57 am
I know you guys don't want to make ANOTHER walkthrough so I'm simply asking for links to threads or something that have instructions on the ubuntu distro... I've tried a walkthrough for 'Linux' but apparently there are larger variations that I thought...

The "linux one" (http://tremulous.net/forum/index.php?topic=8707.0), is very good, and can be used on Ubuntu.  I highly recommend giving that one another chance.
Best Regards,
Kiwi

mhm... it stops working on step 2 of global setup (directory fail... can't find actual game file it talks about)...

steps worked: (global setup) 1 --- (per server setup) 1, 2 ( i got the file... not the dir).

Step 2 is just installing tremulous, you most likely already have done that.  See if that directory already exists.

The default is "usr/local/games/tremulous" but it also might be "usr/share/games/tremulous"
