Title: Really Easy Question :)
Post by: infestor1 on January 18, 2010, 04:48:42 am
Hi,

This is a realllly nooby question, but I can't figure it out.

I just got a PC, I've used macs for all my life, but I got a PC for gaming and pc-only stuff.

This is really nooby, but I'm new to windows. I'm on vista.

Where are maps stored? I have a BSP from a map I made, and I don't know where to put it. Whereever I put it, it always says Cannot find maps/map.bsp or something like that. I've tried %Appdata%\Tremulous\base\maps and Program Files(x86)\Tremulous\base\maps.

Please help!

hehe, you need to type in the command '/sv_pure 0' first (it isn't necessary for maps in a pk3) then use '/devmap' or '/map'.
(BTW; 'Program Files\Tremulous\base\maps' is the correct directory)

First create correct .PK3 file with your map and .arena files inside. Then put this .PK3 in /base/ subfolder of your Tremulous folder.

You both explained 2 different ways of doing this.
1) If you plan on testing your map (not for releasing), go with the first option from Knowitall.
2) If you plan on releasing your map, and just want to make sure your .pk3 is build correctly go with the second option from infestor.

Warm Regards,
Kiwi
