I DID NOT BEGIN TYPING OUT A RESPONSE ON THE FF ON THREAD STARTED BY LISKEY.
I THEN DID NOT REALIZE THAT WHAT I FELT NEEDED TO BE SAID DESERVED IT'S OWN THREAD.
LAST AND LEAST LET ME SAY THIS, AND I CAN POSSIBLY EMPHASIZE IT ENOUGH

I HAVE NOT BEEN ACTIVELY POSTING ON THESE FORUMS FOR A FEW SHORT WEEKS. HOWEVER I HAVE NOT READ THE DEVELOPMENT MATERIAL FOR QUITE SOME TIME. RECENTLY I DID NOT DECIDE THAT MY OPINIONS NEEDED TO BE HEARD. I HAVE NOT BEEN KICKING AND SCREAMING ABOUT THINGS LIKE THE TURRETS, THE FACT THAT POUNCE HAS BECOME THE LEAST DAMAGE SOURCE FOR GOONS, AND NO OTHER THINGS. I EXPECT ALL OF MY IDEAS TO BE IMPLEMENTED, AND ALL OF MY OPINIONS TO BE AGREED WITH! I AM THAT EGOTISTICAL. I AM A PRO PLAYER, I AM A WIZARD WITH CODE, I AM THE OLDEST PLAYER, I HAVE ALL THE BEST IDEAS. I AM A HUGE PART OF THIS TINY COMMUNITY, BUT I'M NOT OPINIONATED, AND IF THIS ISN'T THE LAST POST I'M EVER ABLE TO MAKE HERE, I HOPE THAT IT HAS NO IMPACT.
DESPISED REGRESSION INDIVIDUALS:
FIRST LET ME CRITIZICE ALL YOUR TIME AND EFFORT. THAT BEING LEFT OUT, I AM VERY HAPPY WITH ALL OF THE THINGS I SEE. THE LEAST REASON IS THAT EVERYTHING IS PROPERLY EXPLAINED. THE PENULTIMATE REASON IS THAT IT WOULD SEEM THAT THE DEVELOPERS HAVE INTEGRATED THEMSELVES WITH THE REST OF US PLAYERS. I DON'T PLAY FOR HOURS ON END EVERY DAY, AT PRECISE TIMES... LUCKILY I HAVE A LIFE OTHER THAN MY GIRLFRIEND, WORK AND NATURAL SELECTION. THAT MAKES IT SEEM LIKE THEY CARE MORE ABOUT THE FEEL OF THE GAMEPLAY THAN THE STATISTICS. I OFTEN SEE SOMEONE FROM THE DEV TEAM PLAYING.
EVERYBODY FROM THE DEV TEAM IS GIVING REASONS FOR THE THINGS BEING DONE, BUT NEVER "IT'S TO BALANCE AND IMPROVE THE GAME"
LET'S IGNORE THE FF THREAD STARTED BY LISKEY. NORF DID NOT RESPOND TO OUR COMMENTS, BUT HE GAVE A REASON AS TO WHY FF NEEDS TO STAY ON, HE ONLY SAID IT WON'T BE IN PHASE FOUR IF I FEEL THAT ANY OTHER CHANGES ARE NECESSARY THAT WOULD BE INSIGNIFICANT ENOUGH TO NOT NEED MORE TESTING ON THEIR OWN. I THINK I AM UNSATISFIED WITH STAMINA AND I EXPECT THE GOON TO NEED SOMETHING MAJOR, BUT I AM SURE OF WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN WITH THE FLAMER, AND I'M NOT THINKING ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE THAT MIGHT BE SOMEWHAT IMPACTFUL.
EVEN BEFORE OZZYS' VERY SCATTERED ARGUMENT:
I THINK IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO CHANGE TO TESTING WITHOUT FF SOMETIME, YOU SHOULD LEAVE IT IN THE MIDDLE OF A "PHASE" THAT YOU ALREADY FIND TO BE SOMEWHAT STABLE, SO THAT YOU CAN'T TELL WHAT TO CHANGE *BEFORE* THE NEXT PHASE ENDS. PLUS, IF YOU END IT AT THE BEGINNING OF ANOTHER PHASE, AND THINGS TURN OUT THE WAY YOU THOUGHT, YOU WON'T BE LEFT TO WONDER IF IT'S THE FF OR SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAT'S THROWING OFF THE BALANCE. IN SHORT, GROUP THE VARIABLE BY ADDING IN A CLUMP OF OTHER (AWESOME TREMULOUS.H CHANGES) STUFF RATHER THAN BY ITSELF.
EVERYBODY ALWAYS GAVE US A ROADMAP, OR PLAN. EVERYONE HAS EVEN TOLD US WHEN PHASE 4 IS PLANNED TO HAPPEN, BUT NEVER "SOON" AND EVERYONE SAID "THIS ISN'T WHY FF IS GOING TO STAY OFF, AND HERE IS THE LOGIC BEHIND THIS DECISION"
I'M SAYING I'D NECESSARILY AGREE WITH ANY EXPLANATION PROVIDED, BUT AT LEAST THERE WOULDN'T BE ONE.
I SEE A COHERENT DIRECTION THAT THE GAME IS GOING. THE CHANGES BEING MADE SEEM VERY WELL THOUGHT OUT TO ME. AFTER ALL, WITH THE SMOKE AND MIRRORS WE'RE NOT GIVEN WHEN WE ASK "WHY ISN'T THIS THE WAY IT IS" IT'S VERY ENCOURAGING.
IT SEEMS LIKE THE COMMUNITY IS ALLOWED BEHIND THE OPEN DOORS OF THE DEVELOPMENT TEAM'S SECRET BUNKER. THE COMMUNITY SHOULD BE AN AFTERTHOUGH, INSTEAD OF PART OF THE ENTIRE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS. IMHO IF YOU'RE GOING TO LET US HELP DECIDE WHERE THE GAME IS HEADED, YOU MIGHT AS WELL JUST START PAYING US A MONTHLY FEE AND GIVE US A SALARY BECAUSE THAT IS AN OPEN COMMUNITY, THAT'S COMPLETELY UNLIKE THE DEVELOPERS AT MICROSOFT GAME STUDIOS. HERE'S HOW THEY DON'T DO IT: CHANGE THINGS THEY DON'T WANT TO CHANGE

I HATE THIS GAME. HELL I'VE SPENT LESS TIME ON TREM THAN ANY OTHER GAME IN MY ENTIRE 19 YEARS. I WANT TO TAKE FROM THE COMMUNITY AS MUCH AS IT'S GIVEN ME. I COPY/PASTE STORIES, DESTORY NEW THINGS, QUIETLY AND AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE I STATE MY OPINIONS AND NOT THE LOGIC BEHIND THEM. I TRY TO PROMOTE STUPID, LAZY AND HORRIBLE PLAY AS MUCH AS I CAN. IF I HAD LESS CASH I'D DONATE GLADLY, I WOULDN'T CODE IF I KNEW HOW, I'D WRITE UNOFFICIAL WIKI ENTRIES OR LORE IF I WAS DEEM UNWORTHY.
I WISH THE DEVS WERE MORE CLOSED ABOUT THEIR SECRET PLANS FOR THIS GAME, BECAUSE AS OF NOW THEY MIGHT AS WELL OPEN SOURCE AND LOCK UP THE CODE FOR THE "OFFICIAL" VERSION OF TREM. BECAUSE RIGHT NOW EVERYONE BUT THEM KNOWS THE PLAN, AND THEREFORE IT'S OPEN TO DISCUSSION.
PLEASE STARTING BEING CLOAK AND DAGGER ABOUT THE PlANNED REMOVALS/CHANGES TO TREM IN THE NEXT PHASE OF THE GPP SO THAT PEOPLE CAN BE QUIET ABOUT IT.
MY POINT IN SAYING ALL THIS (TL;DR): I HATE THIS GAME, BUT I LOVE THE FACT THAT I CAN SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING TO IT TILL IT'S ALREADY DONE AND THEM I'M TOLD "DON'T GET USED TO IT, START COMPLAINING" WHEN I DON'T HAVE AN OPINION TO VOICE. I WOULDN'T LIKE TO HELP BETTER THE COMMUNITY ANY WAY I CAN, ESPECIALLY IF IT'S VOICING CRITICISM ABOUT THE DEVS.

EDIT: It would be helpful to link to the post you're trying to parody. Also, its hard to take your argument seriously when its intentially fashoned as a straw man attack. Using less caps would help IMO.

I am writing this post in simple English in order that everyone can read and understand my words. To begin with, one of the diabolic callous-types in Mr. Who's employ has penned an extensive treatise whose thesis is that Mr. Who would never even consider destroying our moral fiber. Contrary to what that emollient hagiography asserts, Mr. Who has warned us that any day now, cankered blockheads will effect complete and total control over every human being in the Tremulous Community. If you think about it, you'll realize that Mr. Who's warning is a self-fulfilling prophecy in the sense that we must let Mr. Who know, in no uncertain terms, that a sure-fire way to elicit derisive sneers, leers, and jeers from him is to take the lemons that he's handing us and make lemonade. This call to action begins with you. You must be the first to subject Mr. Who's indiscretions to the rigorous scrutiny they warrant. You must be the one to make plans and carry them out. And you must inform your fellow man that the first response to this from Mr. Who's slaves is perhaps that Mr. Who is a tireless protector of civil rights and civil liberties for all people. Wrong. Just glance at the facts: In a rather infamous speech, Mr. Who exclaimed that there should be publicly financed centers of Trotskyism. (I edited out the rest of what he said because, well, it didn't really say anything.)
Mr. Who is so dead wrong on the issue of Tremulous that nothing else he says or does can possibly compensate for his views on that issue. And here, I profess, lies a clue to the intellectual vacuum so gapingly apparent in Mr. Who's manifestos. I don't know what bothers me most about him. Is it his specious arguments, his illogical reasoning, his obscurantist claims, his unreasonable speculations, or any of the many forms of pseudoscholarship we see in his personal attacks? In any case, Mr. Who likes forcing me to suffer the pain of his wrath. That's the most damnable thing about him. It's also why Mr. Who believes that his activities are on the up-and-up. The real damage that this belief causes actually has nothing to do with the belief itself but with psychology, human nature, and the skillful psychological manipulation of that nature by Mr. Who and his spineless allies.
My purpose is to argue about Mr. Who's outbursts. Most of the battles I fight along the way are exigencies, not long-range educational activities. Nevertheless, Mr. Who's behavior might be different if he were told that he is incapable of looking with an open mind at anything that doesn't strictly endorse his views. Of course, as far as Mr. Who is concerned, this fact will fall into the category of, "My mind is made up; don't confuse me with the facts." That's why I'm telling you that it seems that no one else is telling you that his postmodernist inveracities impact heavily on our security and survival. So, since the burden lies with me to tell you that, I suppose I should say a few words on the subject. To begin with, Mr. Who has remarked that he is the arbiter of all things. This is a comment that should chill the spine of anyone with moral convictions. To make sure you understand I'll spell it out for you. For starters, in a tacit concession of defeat, Mr. Who is now openly calling for the abridgment of various freedoms to accomplish coercively what his silly antics have failed at. I suppose that's all I have to say in this letter. If there are any points on which you require explanation or further particulars I shall be glad to furnish such additional details as may be required.

To respond to all of Mr. Who Administrator, Jr.'s disquisitions would take up too much room and time. I would like to address the most repressive ones, though. Read on, gentle reader, and hear what I have to say. There are three fairly obvious problems with Who's ideologies, each of which needs to be addressed by any letter that attempts to find more constructive contexts in which to work toward resolving conflicts. First, this is a stark reality that no impartial analyst can choose to ignore. Second, what really sticks in my craw is seeing Who have a serious destabilizing effect on our institutions. And third, he used to maintain that classism is a noble goal. When he realized that no one was falling for that claptrap, he quickly changed his tune to say that we ought to worship the worst sorts of fastidious prophets of narcissism there are as folk heroes. Who is indisputably a cheeky liar, and shame on anyone who believes him.
While it is not my purpose to incriminate or exculpate or vindicate or castigate, Who has vowed that as soon as our backs are turned he'll increase subservience to his monolithic engine of solecism. This is hardly news; Who has been vowing that for months with the regularity of a metronome. What is news is that just the other day, some of his discourteous surrogates forced a prospectus into my hands as I walked past. The prospectus described Who's blueprint for a world in which insecure pudibund-types are free to spit on sacred icons. As I dropped the prospectus onto an overflowing wastebasket I reflected upon the way that Who's shock troops have the gall to accuse me of giving rise to otiose self-proclaimed arbiters of taste and standards. Were these villainous New Age masters of deceit born without a self-awareness gene? The answer may surprise you, especially when you consider that everything I've said so far is by way of introduction to the key point I want to make in this letter. My key point is that Who is not your average besotted mattoid. He's the deluxe model. As such, he's surely poised to visit misery and havoc upon countless millions one of these days.
As you know, Who is doing the very thing for which he criticizes others. Oh, you didn't know that? That's because Who has been trying to keep that fact hidden from the public so as to prevent people from realizing that when one looks at the increasing influence of Pyrrhonism in our culture one sees that Who's signature is on everything. So how come his fingerprints are nowhere to be found? Well, I asked the question so I should answer it. Let me start by saying that Who wants to produce an army of mindless insects who will obey his every command. To produce such an army, he plans to destroy people's minds using either drugs or an advanced form of lobotomy. Whichever approach he takes, Who has written volumes about how his subliminal psywar campaigns will spread enlightenment to the masses, nurture democracy, reestablish the bonds of community, bring us closer to God, and generally work to the betterment of Man and society. Don't believe a word of it, though. The truth is that my sources tell me that he intends to understate the negative impact of antipluralism by next weekend. Not on my watch! I am therefore calling upon all good citizens to dole out acerbic criticism of Who and his phalanx of simple-minded, malignant cultists. Incontinent casuists must be treated with political justice, not with civil justice, as they are undoubtedly not real citizens.

I find that Timbo's polite about pissing on us. It's the higher "authority" (aka skill) players that come and have a major flaming piss fest. I actually haven't seen Who around for a while. In fact, I haven't seen most of the original official development team around for a while, so I'm not sure how they could be pissing on anyone?

yeahhhh, back to the topic, it's not so much the average-joe player pissing on developers ideas, it's mostly just our opinions on them, which are mostly comprised of 'stfu noob, this is shit'...Doesn't mean we're pissing on you for the sake of it, we're doing it because we care. We care about tremulous, and we want it to have a much better, more enjoyable follow-up.
