Crazy entertaining. I played through a few months ago. Simple, yet grand.

Isn't it said that we focus so much more on a game's visual appeal rather than it's game play now a days?  (well at least the general population does)

Not really, considering that you can't play a game by looking at pictures, but you can judge how it looks by seeing the pictures.

Most of my friends would choose a crappy but pretty FPS over something that's dated but plays well.
"OOH SHINY!"

If you're judging games at all by 3-5 pictures I'm doubting your actual intent is to play the game lol.

No, I don't really intend to play the game any time soon. By using the pronoun "we" I assumed you were speaking of people in this thread mostly, as using it in the general term seemed a bit random.

Hey, anyone notice how there are a lot of games involving guns recently?  ;)

That game ran nicely on my 32mb video card, except the last level was hard. A city full of zombies and the game only gave me grenades, no guns.

I even through in the (at least the general population does)  -  That was before the edit, the edit was to fix a different typo I made.

If you have a mac you can find the modded version of black shades where it's been put into full time slow-motion :P

He said judging HOW THE GAME LOOKS, not judging the game as a whole. You see the difference, shitbag?

Does anyone know how they do the animated transition when switching to a new link on the following page/site:

http://www.wolfire.com/overgrowth

Click on one of the menu buttons and it is like there is a panning effect on a large background image. Might they be using Javascript for it?

Yes, they use Javascript. If you look at the source code, you'll see some DIV's named "slice" and you'll find this:

Code: [Select]
alert('Sorry, you must upgrade to at least IE 7 for the mystery. :('); :P

I think webkit has direct support for transitions like those.
