Sorry if this has already been covered, but there's a big issue I'm having-
Radiant is unusable because of excessive lag- I can't move around the 3d view, it stalls for almost 30 seconds before showing a new brush I made, and these things make is absolutely impossible to map.
This is weird because I just installed this on a brand new custom built computer. It has 8gigs ram, a 3.0ghz dual core amd processor and an nvidia 9800gt gcard- this setup runs crysis, tremulous, half life etc absolutely fine- so why the hell is radiant so laggy?
The operating system is 64bit windows vista.
Update video drivers? Also: try NetRadiant instead.

fine.
Probably video drivers.
What is the problem with NetRadiant? >.>
Whats wrong with GTKRadiant?
Isn't GTKradiant no longer supported? Where as NetRadiant sorta is, by Ingar?
NetRadiant has several bug fixes and more features. Many limits have been raised/removed. Also Ingar is just supplying the Trem packages, not coding afaik. But yes, it is being supported while GTK Radiant is not.
Also, try deactivating vertical syncro
Try the distance clipping feature if it's not activated already.
I had the same problem, thisi s how i fixed it
After installation, right-click on the GtkRadiant.exe and choose "Properties". Click on the "Compatibility" tab and under "Settings", check the "Disable desktop composition" option. Click on "Apply" and "OK".
