Two engine glitches I'm aware of when it comes to Tremulous...
ONE: trigger_hurts only deal damage to one player at a time. I'm not sure where I heard this but I'm sure it's why Soubok quit working on Pulse. Is that true? If so, is it an easy fix and will it be fixed in 1.2?
TWO: func_train brushes that are textured with the water shader will distort the view of the player anywhere along it's path. I actually think that, in some situations, this is a cool effect, and is in no way game breaking. Does anyone know if it's going to be fixed or, better yet, if it can be fixed?

I don't think so... I'm quite sure it deals damage to any one who is in the trigger_hurt zone. If I am wrong it can be easily fixed by putting multiple trigger_hurt on top of each other.

I don't under stand your question, and have little experience with shaders, best wait for more experienced mapper to answer.
