I was doing this for a different part of Tremulous but thought it might be a cool wallpaper.

You can get the zip here : Tremulous Wallpaper which contains 2 versions both at 1024x400.

Looks cartoony.

How did you make the starships? 3dsmax and some cartoon shader?

Maybe a different background so that it has more contrast. You cant see the ships in the background.

Well its lightwave and to make it look cartoony he used a cell shader plugin.  If u saw every single ship nice and crisp it wouldnt look as good. 3dtends to make things perfect cause everthing is in focus so making things slightly out of focus makes it better imho.

Its called "cel shader" not "cell shader" :smile:
