maybe you could add working retts and acid tubes directly into the map that are like indestructible but theirs like a button or a part u have to shoot to stop them from firing.
-
It can be done... although good luck trying to find someone to do it. Try learning how to map and you can do it. It only takes a bit of time here and there over a week to learn how to map!
-
Once he maps it into it.
How would he power them, and how would they shut off from a button/lever?
-
He could add an rc somwhere in the map and have them powered by repeaters. They can stop shooting if someone shoots a button makin a one way wall surround the turrets so they dont shoot anymore. They can be indestructable with a solidslick shader surrounding them

Good idea, thank you. Hope that helped you Red*kitty.
Q:
If there was an RC built somewhere powering the placed rets, or w/e for Aliens.
Wouldn't that stop the build of another RC/OM? I suppose there could be a setting for allowance of two.
-
Maybe with AMP you could
-
well i would need a place where i can learn to make maps. and i dont really know anywhere that i can do that. also i was thinking something like a repeater that wouldnt blow up if not used that was built under like a glitch in the ground or in walls

For getting the mapping program NetRadiant, look in my sig. For where to learn mapping, look around in this subforum.
-
tried netradiant on my mac it wouldnt open...
-
Well, go through the steps of what you tried to do, and we'll try to help.
I don't own a Mac, but two people searching through google won't hurt. :p
And here is the home page to NetRadiant: http://ingar.satgnu.net/gtkradiant/index.html
I use GTKRadiant, for the time being I suppose. It suits me fine, but NetRadiant seems more updated. (Don't know for sure, although)
And I'm sure Mapping tutorials are all over Youtube, which I heard the "hip" people like these days.

i couldnt get the netradiant open because i cant download leopard i could make simple map models using sketchup tho but i dont think i could upload it into a map type.

Hmm.. A few Q's:
What are your specs? As in processor, ram, OS version, etc
And I don't think you'll need to download Leopard.
Edit:
This site be helpful to you as well:

Most I can do is give some more links:

Hope those help, and be sure to read documentation, or how to's before "jumping in".
