I know this may be a dummy question, but just to make sure I did nothing wrong:
A ladder is to be found in common textures, you just pull up a brush, give it the "ladder"-texture and it should work after you compile the map.
I have the weird feeling I left something out. :knotinbrain:
karith/ladder texture : )
Hm, that gives me the ladder-capability allright, but shouldn't the ladder itself be a transparent brush when rendered?
The ladder thingie is a shader. It's transparent and solid. You have to create the ladder itself and then put a brush over it with the ladder texture.
You can make ladder only using one texture. You dont need to include shader files in pk3.
Actually, I am using the .bsp, I do not produce a pk3 yet. The result of compilation is a solid, nontransparent block with that ugly "shader not found"-texture on it (grey with a white grid).
Afair, this should not be the case, should it?
