Pretty much done with idea feedback, unless some bugs show up, no more partisanism. I thought I'd drop some comments, feel free to retort or add your own.
1*** For quite awhile I was dissatisfied with the dretch, but now, contrary to some belief, I think it's more potent than the original. I've seen it blatantly missused, though, and some users get quite frustrated. I'm in the process of writing a mini-guide about it, assuming it doesn't change. I really like the increased speed, that was something much needed.
2*** I notice that many (even experienced) players will reactor hop with any alien, and let themselves keep getting damaged by it while they swipe. This is silly. You merely have to hold down the swipe or chomp key, while jumping up and down rapidly. After a moment, you'll even start to regenerate your health while you kill it. Try it, works with every class, and even in situ's where you can barely fit ontop of the RC.
3*** Teslas can fire down through their base to a target right under them. I don't mind, but I wonder if that's intentional. Rets can't, but if hives can then I guess it's fair.
4*** Though it hasn't changed much or at all since 1.1, I don't like the Mass Driver. Nothing about it particularly, but it seems out of place at s1. Kill two dretches, and you've got one. They deal quite a bit of knockback it seems, I can tangibly feel being slowed down mid-pounce when an MD round hits me. I think it would be better for it to be s2, but I'm not serious about it.
5*** Shotgun seems useless, I think it deserves more knockback or something.
6*** Pounce works very poorly on stairs or inclines, you have to remember to aim extra high or your pounce won't fire at all.
7*** I have had very bad luck with tyrant trample damage not getting applied. Do I have to aim my crosshair right at the human, or does it suffice just for them to be anywhere in the way?
8*** You can follow a pounce or trample with a very fast swipe attack (almost seems like an exploit). Once your pounce or trample hits, let go of the move forward key (you must have been holding it down up to now) and quickly hit with slash. With practice, it almost gets to be like a one (really two) hit kill on most human targets.

Personally, MD seems fine to me. I suck with it anyway, and generally use las if I want a ranged hitscan weapon. The shotgun is very well priced for it's power. Looking at tremstats, it's the weapon that I have the 2nd most kills with (far behind the luci of course). However, I am not gonna complain if it's given some extra knockback. :)

Yeah MD itself is fine, just don't think it should be s1.
Shotty's okay I guess. Cheap dretch killer, but I think the free rifle is better at dretch harvesting then the shotty.
-
possibly, but shotty has the added bonus of being very useful for its cost against larger aliens compared to the rifle.

2) a lot of the times there though is a turret that will hit you if you keep jumping
4) Mass Driver is a costly weapon (usually you want to spend the full 520 credits to get a battpack too) so seems fine for me
5) Shotgun is way better in 1.2 for it's price. But it seems quite useless now since a rifle or a lasgun will do the job more effectively. I rarely use it, I wouldn't mind something extra thrown to it.
6) that's the weakness of goon, and that's why you need the chomp often
7) I think it's enough if you just hit the human with your front side. Remember to trample the human against a wall.

These are mostly good observations.
For RC hopping, as stated earlier, jumping can get you hit by anti-hop rets.
With the MD, I think it should stay S1, but be more likened to the Railgun. Slow, but with a punch.
I don't like the new shotgun much; I think that the 1.1 shotgun would be fine if the client and server used the same prediction for choosing where the bullets went.

Huh? The shotgun was definitely better in 1.1 compared to 1.2. The extra spread plus 1 less damage makes some difference for the worse.

Cool. But:

Mass Driver is 350cr if I'm correct. That's just two dretches and you've got one. Maybe you don't have a batpack or armor, but it's a standoff wep anyway. I've seen pro do some real harvesting in no time flat. Kind of like those chess games where about 4-5 moves in you've been checkmated.
When I am Dretching, I generally target the dude with the shotty, that's how bad it is in 1.2
-
I still like the shotgun. Marauders (if the mara isn't focused on dodging) and dragoons can go down pretty quick with one (or especially two). I don't see what problems people are having with it, or why people have so much trouble hitting dretches with it. Don't you just have to time it right? Sure it'll almost be biting you, but you can 1 shot it, while it has to get at least two hits in.

I think....

Ehm, I wasn't really clear. With for it's price I mean that shotgun being so cheap it was really too powerful in 1.1.
Shotgun has a random spread or some unlagged issue, I don't know, seems hard to use. But massdriver one-shots dretches too and actually is accurate and reliable, plus it is long-range.

Ah, makes sense now. At least the current shotty is better than what it was in earlier phases. It was pretty atrocious at the beginning of GPP.

1: Skillz which i lack :P
3: Tesla firing all directions. Cool.
Hmmm. Does hive got some sort of response when under attack, while human trying to corner shot it or just safe distance of it?
5: Oij, and what was the shotgun's damage per pellet/pellet amount? 7/8?
6: Yeah. A very annoying thing to me. Or it is just lack of skillz :P (again)
7: Same happens to me very too often. And sometimes it goes off, even as i keep pressing W for Foward. And i think rant has its hitbox sized trample width. Not sure. :-\
Nothing to add currently now.

5: Oij, and what was the shotgun's damage per pellet/pellet amount? 7/8?
in 1.1: 7 pellets of 8 damage
in past GPP phase: 14 pellets of 4 damage
in current GPP phase: 11 pellets of 5 damage
and what's Oij mean?
-
and what's Oij mean?
::)
Nothing net slang.....
Just a small exclamation so to say....

Hives will fire from any distance when attacked (though once fired, swarms will always go after the closest human).
