Sorry I ask so many questions.
Simply put, I've tried the surfaceparm nonsolid before and it's never worked for me. I've reluctantly ignored it because it's never been that important, but now I think it is important for what I'm working on. A simple shader like this-
surfaceparm trans
surfaceparm nolightmap
surfaceparm nonsolid
Doesn't work :S
Need more info then 'doesn't work'. What exactly did you do and what is the result? And what should the result be?
Well the end results should be an opaque brush that you can walk through. But that's not what I'm getting. Unless I've missinturperated the q3a shader manual.
Edit: This isn't even the right forum for this topic. Maybe a mod should move or remove it.

I have no definite answer for you, but I have in my "make this and this map" notes that "nexus6/flat_dk_nonsolid_s" is visually the same as "nexus6/flat_dk", only you can walk through it.
