Title: Flamethrower
Post by: Wyvrn on June 07, 2010, 02:05:37 am
Heres a flamethrower.
I couldn't get much detail and the verts were getting very high, probably too high. But here it is, I'm gonna texture it next, unless someone else wants to :)

Verts: 1748 (a lot, i know)

Heres the .blend if anyone wants to mod it. And does anyone have any ideas that wouldn't cost much verts but that would make it look better?

And yes the handle is huge, I'm still workin on that.

That fat bar at the back is actually that handle and i need to edit that, but thats where the trigger should be, and then you put your other hand near the middle. The texture will explain this better

Thanks emuffin! :)

you can move some detail from mesh to texture

Ok, well, I finally finish the UV map, i kept on having to go back and change it cuz' of errors and some things i forgot to unwrap.
I didnt get very far, and i didnt realize how long this is going to take. I am leaving for my cousins then to haiti on thursday night or friday morning, and I won't be back until July. BUT I will find some internet at my cousins and I'm gonna spend some time in the FL Keys so I might get internet there. I will work on it as much as I can between here and the time I leave(thursday or friday). Now, I don't have much experience in texturing so please don't laugh at my terrible texturing lol. While I'm gone feel free to try texturing your self, and when I get back I hope when I post here my update it won't be considered a necro. :/
O, and i re-sized the handle.
Well here it is:

I updated the .blend
And for the UV Map you can export it using the uv map export script, it comes with blender. its in the image editor(while in edit mode with all verts selected): UVs>scripts
Enjoy!
