Post by: MrFish on July 04, 2010, 10:09:45 pm
How does it work. It it installed to the server or to netradiant? I would like to use it but I don't know how. Also, what new is added to mapping with it?

Installed to the server. By searching you can find QVM to it. And if you recompile blackout (like i did), you'll see how the special features are done.

And if the forum was still there you could be provided with a helpful link :D

But it isn't...

Though I'm sure Uniq would be only too happy to help  ;)

It is a gift from the Gods.

- To create a map utilizing it you need a new entities definition file for your editor. (I've uploaded it here; http://www.mediafire.com/?zjnkjunji2y)
- To Play with it you need a special qvm. (I've uploaded it here; http://www.mediafire.com/?yye3zt4toh0 (This qvm seems to work with the TremFusion tremded))

Will you be able to play an AMP map on a non AMP server without the functionality of AMP?

& I'm rather sure AMP is not going to be officially in 1.2. y/n?

I think AMP was going to be officially included in 1.2 when the code got cleaned up a bit.  Don't know how that's going, though.

If you play, say Blackout, on AA, then the features will not function correctly, and it will be pretty much unplayable.

AMP maps will work fine on non-AMP servers as long as lacking the AMP features does not ruin gameplay completely.  Also, all normal stock maps work fine on AMP servers afaik.
