Ok, this was posted on the quakelive forum b/c they use the same engine as trem, and Techie told me about it, so I figured it should be know to all of the Trem player base :)
If you've upgraded to ATI's Catalyst 10.5 or 10.6, it makes the graphics all borked b/c it doesn't work properly with opengl. While that does make some great effects (http://tremulous.net/forum/index.php?topic=13742.0), it also makes a lot of textures just not be there & etc. So I'll post a link to the quakelive thread, the full explanation here, and a link to download what is needed. :)

I am now hosting the proper .dll on the GT site. Check the bottom of this post to find the link!!!

This is an example of how to use a workaround in the Windows 64-bit environment assuming that you already have the 10.5 or 10.6 drivers installed in your system. It might help some 32-bit users as well.
To use the latest Catalyst software and still be able to play Quake Live you have to copy the "atioglxx.dll" file from a working version (10.4) to either the Quake Live directory or the System32(32-bit OS) or SysWOW64(64-bit OS) directory. I choose to use the OS directory.
Download if you must the 10.4 version of Catalyst and start the installer. Let the program unpack the files it needs to install. The default directory for Vista 64-bit or Windows 7 64-bit in the English language is...
C:\Program Files\ATI\Support\10-4_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_wdm_enu
This can really be any directory you choose. Unpack them to a folder on your desktop if you want, it's temporary and you can delete this directory when your done.
When the setup starts to run after all the files are unpacked, cancel the installation.
Next you have to run the command prompt. If you don't know how, type "cmd" in the search option, or migrate to the System32 directory and click the cmd.exe.
Once the command prompt is open you have to change directories to the unpacked directory where the "atioglxx.dl_" file resides.
The default directory for for the atioglxx.dl_ in Vista 64-bit or Windows 7 64-bit in the English language is...
C:\Program Files\ATI\Support\10-4_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Packages\Drivers\ Display\W76A_INF\B_98282(<--- this number my be different on your system)
To do this, in the command prompt type without the quotes
"cd C:\Program Files\ATI\Support\10-4_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Packages\Drivers\ Display\W76A_INF\B_98282"
Make sure that the Change Directory (cd) command reflects whatever directory listing you might have unpacked the files to.
Once you have changed to the correct directory in the command prompt type this without the quotes...
"expand.exe atioglxx.dl_ atioglxx.dll"
Now that you have expanded this file move it to the System32 or SysWOW64 directory and overwrite the current atioglxx.dll file.
If the operating system gives you an error in moving the file, make sure your web browser is closed. If it persists in not letting you overwrite the file, try moving the newly expanded dll file in the operating systems "Safe Mode".
Note: If your currently using Catalyst 10.4 and desire a newer version, copy the 10.4 atioglxx.dll to somewhere it can be retrieved later. Uninstall the Catalyst 10.4 software, install the newer version of Catalyst, then overwrite the newly installed atioglxx.dll file with the one you copied from the 10.4 version of Catalyst.
The 10.4 Catalyst Driver (http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/10-4/Pages/radeonaiw_vista64.aspx?&lang=English)
Hope that helps all who need it. :)

Thanks Deadbeat. This Tut helped my friend get some shaders to work in game. He had problems seeing water shaders, and the muruader skin.
Thanks,
