So far I want to thank all people who have donated their picture to Faces of Tremulous. I also would like to point out that the current amount of Faces is only but a fraction of the entire Tremulous player populace. While I do not have the illusion that Faces of Tremulous will ever contain even 50% of the populace, I would like to ask all of You to spread the word, asking your friends or foes in Tremulous to come to #satgnu on Quakenet  IRC, or to email me on lava_croft@hotmail.com with their portaits.

Also, to anyone who has concerns about it, Faces of Tremulous is not meant to be a gallery full of badly GIMP'd portraits of Tremulous players. It's been born merely out of the feeling that all these different people abiding to the same rules (those of Tremulous) is actually quite funny. And of course, being able to put a face to a name certainly enhances any gameplay experience  8)

Pictures you send to Lava will automatically appear on the SatGNU stts
(http://schattenschreiber.org/satgnu) in your player profile, if your in-game
name is exactly the same as the picture's name +.jpg. Should your picture not
appear there after one (1) day, please send a mail to rjs at schattenschreiber dot
org (yup, that's me) and tell me all of your in-game names so I can fix it.

Blah, I had some troubles with the PHP script generating the album, so all of you who have sent in pictures but weren't on there now probably are. Posting your picture here is no guarantee to be added to the gallery, since I don't read this thread too much.

I want to add that the player gallery is not MySpace, and therefore I don't think I'm looking for pictures like the 3 you posted, Angelwinged Devil.

Whats broadband availability like in Hungary?

I've not tried at my place near Keszthely and at my other place near Györ there arnt even copper phonelines they are all cellular there (crappy Matav).

First of all I've never seen a dell desktop case last more than a couple years, only their server cases hold up the wear and tear of being used a lot. Second of all, a production computer made by a company like Dell IS the motherboard, and Dell motherboards come with more problems then I've ever had to mess with on any other type of motherboard.

I had the same issue. Having noscript allow scripts to be executed on satgnu.net fixed it, so you probably have scripts blocked on the site.

If you click on a picture, you can see the filename in the info to the right, which is named after the player, but it is quite un-obvious.

Whats the point of having a portrait if you dont know who they are?  I will like to see the people that are shooting me down! Like curiousgeorge, neo, sighn, etc.

Just for the record:

As anyone can see from a distance, most of the people that made Faces of Tremulous have left quite a while ago.
As anyone can also see, the people that replaced them are a waste of bandwidth.
As a result, I quit updating Faces of Tremulous a while ago, and will take it offline.

Thank you for sending your portraits, I bet people had a great time laughing at each other.
(The best time was laughing at people that did not send in their portrait, but had the nerve to comment on the physical appearence of people who did have the balls to send in a picture.)

Well, if you don't mind, I'd like to continue this. I can set up a Google Sites page in the meantime, at least until I get hosting of my own.

edit: My continuation would be focusing on GPP player portraits, though if you have an archive of the old ones I can include it too.
