So yeah, mine actually was my Friend, actually someone at my "computer camp" made everybody play tremulous. i remember that day when i decided to be human for once. i finally bought a las gun, and someone managed to get 5 evos. he became something that no one ever saw. a :tyrant: attacked our base, and that was the only rant our class ever saw in the 5 day period. anyways, he attacked our base, a goon, 2 maruders, 1 bassy and a whole lot of dretches. our base was trashed instantly. we always played in atcs "because all the other mpas where terrible". yeah, we then did, i think transit. we always thought aliens where bad at first and then good later on, and humans where good at first, and not as good as compared to aliens later on. im not to sure now, because humans camp, so i say their equal.

I downloaded it, installed, then double clicked.

I used to mess around with linux boot CDs. One day I came upon a Fedora Core 11 Games Edition boot DVD. It was there that I saw trem, and discovered that there was a windows version.
At this point in time. I didnt have highspeed internet at my house. So for a long time I played only with pathbots. Then when I started going to my University I started playing online. I had morning and evening classes so I was stuck there for about 8 hours everyday (when I wasnt working). About 80% of this time was spent playing tremulous.
Then about halfway through my next semester, I got cable at my parents house, paid for out of my own pocket. And thus I played tremulous every waking chance I could get.
Now you know my tremulous history :D

I love linux almost as much as I love the medistation
I love you too baby.

After moving countries a friend told me to play. So I started.
Very simple. :)

My windows distro was haxed by haXors, so I had to use ubuntu about a year ago. Being a windows gamer used to BF2142, Freelancer, and Critical Mass, tremulous was the natural (and only decent) option.

Boardum. Searched "fps shooters for mac" and found http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_freeware_first-person_shooters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_freeware_first-person_shooters).

This one annoying kid was playing it when I was over at his house, I was kinda interested, but I could not remember the name and than I didn't see him for a couple of weeks so it took until then for me to download it for myself. This was back around end of July 06, so we played on a few of the good servers and I was hooked pretty fast.

Well, I'm not certain about this, but early calculations have lead me to the hypothesis that this is because nobody who has voted in this thread started playing tremulous that way.

I love how freind has the most vote. I really love my freinds they take me all kinds of places because we have a bonding freindship.

Well in late '06 I was on Wikipedia and searching up free open-source multiplayer games as I was getting bored of WolfET. I came across Tremulous and decided to try it. Although I played it for a few months I stopped at the start of '07, forgetting about it altogether until I rediscovered it in March '08. Been playing again ever since :)

Saw it in a topic on the Minecraft forums. Reading the about page, I decided to try it out.

Searched for "Top 10 free fps" and I saw this.
-
saw this game in the ubuntu repos and the description seemed interesting.
-
When i had my internet back so to say, i saw on some cd with loads of free games on internet. Installed trem to see what kind of fps is this.... and we move to today now. It's about year and few days now when I started to play actively Trem. Before that i played ET, but quitted because of constant FPS freezes --> got kicked or banned because of that. Plus Punkbuster hated me.

yaa its one of the coolest thing

I just looked on the Debian-repositories which 3D-games were available. I tried out a few and stuck with Tremulous.
