Nah, dead badgers are just really useful. You can install Linux on them pretty easily (http://www.strangehorizons.com/2004/20040405/badger.shtml), for example.
The Z server is not hosted by X server or whatever. Z server is the zombie server (which is actually pretty fun). Their site is blogwtf.com (http://blogwtf.com)
