It would help if you would give information. What sort of system do you have? What video card, CPU, amount of RAM, OS, etc?

Well I built my system. I have an amd tricore (710 i think) at 2.8ghz. I have 4gb ram. And a gtx 260 for my gpu. It is running on windows 7.  Like i said when i switched to windows 7 it ran unbearably slow.

did you install proper drivers for your card? I don't know much about Windows but I vaguely remember hearing about OpenGL issues on Vista/7.

Yah my drivers should be up to date. I really want to get it working. Even though its not the best game as far as graphics, its still one of my favorite games as far as gameplay goes  :)

Yeah, make sure you get the drivers from the Manafactuer's website. To my knowledge, the default Windows driver don't come with OpenGL acceleration by default and therefore, rely on either software emulation or DirectX emulation of OpenGL.
