Okay, well-- I'm gunna hope the devs look at this, otherwise I guess I'll have to submit a bug report (which I really wouldn't consider this a bug... just a major annoyance that shouldn't occur.)
Basically, well if you have a decent speaker system (with a subwoofer and whatnot) if say, 3-4 turrets are making the spin-up sound, it is literally deafening-- Sadly, my speakers (like many others) depend on the subwoofer to function. I'm unsure exactly what the problem is, but I think it should be a fairly high priority to get fixed- My reasoning behind this is, well, it makes the game nearly unplayable with above average speakers, I can have the volume on extremely low, then run into the human base, and expect to hear a massive, almost grinding sound come from my speakers.
(As a side note, it really doesn't matter all that much to me, as my headphones will suffice for trem, but I really do think this needs to be addressed)
Thanks for reading. (If there's anything I can do to help, by all means say so.)

You've just done it.
I thought cron fixed that.
And the sound is horrible itself. The older sound was much better :)
When 3-4+ turrets start spinning up at the same time it is indeed deafening. But If you have your volume up high (even just a little high), when those rets start shooting, it's like getting punched in the head(really hard). :-\
The new sound is very annoying indeed. BTW they should make the turrets look like Sentry Guns from CODMW2 (If you don't what it looks like - it's a M134 Minigun on a stand).

No they shouldn't. Tremulous is supposed to be unique, not a rip-off from another game.
