this is somthing that i just did and i was wondering is this a great way to use the alien defenses!??

they are elevated away from human sight and if you walk through you are showered in alot of acid any other suggestions or ideas are welcome my map is almost finished but i need to make sure its pretty good
there are two hidden locations in this map to start a fresh base this map is about survival and its quite small

As far as the layout goes, kill the baricade and put a tube instead.

theres is another entrance but i hid it away from you if you want to find it you are going to hafto play it when its finished. the basics are done all i need to do is put in small details every where (don't know what though maybe pipes) my second map im almost finished.
my second one is like an assualt the humans landed on a sand planet and theres a sandstorm above you (kills you) and an alien hive that the humans have to destroy a tie in this one would be considered a win for aliens. if the ppl playing the aliens actually work together in this one they could take out the human base it took 2 days to do it (non-stop (i was bored)) the ship was horrible to do
could someone build a shader for me i need a shader for flames (jet like and transparent) coming out of the ship and a dust texture for the ground i want dust to go out from the centre

What about the 'side-room' in Niveaus?
Or the 'elevator-room' in -forgot name- (with the snow and stuff).

elevator room has a vent that jetpacks and small aliens can get into. the window room in niveus, on the other hand, can easily force a stalemate if the defenses are intelligently placed

the barricades you place back away from the entrace aliens can just drop down onto the path
so this is good!??

Should does not equal does. And have you never experienced the stalemate a base in these positions can cause?
Anyway the elevator room does have 2 entrances, just the vent becomes unviable with a couple of defences blocking it.

Let's change it. People are entitled to a good base, just not from the start. Starting bases should have two entrances or 1 with a second opening up in later stages (like uncreation). Areas with only 1 entrance should be moved to.

the base doesn't start out like that you have to build it it only starts with 2 acid pods one egg and of course the overmind, there are two entrances or one entrance and one exit (you should play it when its finished to know what im talking about)
i have decorations over the map now but it still looks bare how could i fix this?
