Hello world
I have a funny bind, which usualy provoke smile with old players, but this time.... not :D
I get 14d ban yesterday on official US server of Tremulous gpp for this joke, but at least it made me lol :police:

I went on irc to get unban, but i get a double combo ban: 28d on gpp and a ban on #tremulous@freenode. Sick sad world.

he wasn't an aimbotter just some noob who thought it would be funny to make a bind that mimics a certain aimbot message pointing to some other(possibly unpleasant no way im checking) site now an admin didn't find it too funny(cant blame him for that) and instead of accepting the ban he went to irc and annoyed Khalsa who wasn't too impressed with someone claiming to be botting wanting an unban and made a ban on forums and now he is ban evading on the forums
some kids dont learn if he was quiet then he could have waited out the ban and learned from it now he will possibly get a permanent ban for a bad joke

He didn't advertise an aimbot and the website address is enough of a reason not to visit it (to all those capable of reading and thinking). It a 2 week ban for a joke. Oh and a forum AND irc ban. And a lack of capability to properly deal with an unban request. At the same time the forum is getting closer and closer to a Tremulous branded shithole.

read the irc log provided the players on irc prob thought he was actually botting because of how he was appealing. the joke wasn't funny a mute would have prob been enough but an admin can use their own judgment and warlock decided that he needed a ban for whatever reason(maybe he was doing it game after game and warlock had already tried a mute) doesn't matter anyway because he has turned a simple ban for a bad joke into something way worse by ban evading on the forums

I don't know enough about aimbot sites to know that isn't a valid address, tbh, I'd probably have banned you too. Going on IRC makes sense, but you needed to stress that it was a joke. While I can see how it looked like a joke to you, I can also see how khalsa took it seriously. Anyways I believe having two accounts is enough to get you banned on the forums (although I have no clue, and it probably isn't enforced much, like everything else here), which then gets you banned for IRC. The address, if it is indeed a joke, probably means it wouldn't be a horrible thing to unban you from US1, but I doubt anything is going to happen on that since a dev banned you.
Good luck and make sure everyone knows your joking. After all, there is nothing less common than "common sense".

Well the ban was adjusted to 4 weeks when Puzzola admitted that he developed the aimbot himself and posted the full source code on irc (see logs above). Also when he posted the IRC logs (which contained the forbidden source code) this violated the forum rules and justified the forum ban !

I would hardly call it advertising a bot too, since he misspelled it's name a site address and the spam message actually doesn't say anything about any "illegal" program. The only thing I didn't like in his behavior as he didn't make it clear it's a joke. Yet still I believe admins had failed greatly here, bad jokes aren't good reason to mute, to say nothing about 1 month ban.

thing is people on irc didn't think it was a joke but like i said doesn't matter now because hes evading his ban on forums to post this he should have maybe tried emailing a dev and explaining his side. i saw him a while before i told him that some people might not find it funny didn't really think needed to take action cause it wasn't being spammed alot at the time and it was clearly a joke to me but i can see how some admins wont find it funny and take action khalsa had every reason to extend the ban with the information that was available at the time and evading khalsas bans instead of taking another option will only make things worse

You are missing the point here. He basically got banned on server, IRC and forums for saying 'aimbot'. Even if he actually did USE a bot that is no reason for banning outside game servers.

He got banned in game for using an aimbot. He got banned elsewhere for being a massive dick about it and breaking the forum and IRC rules.
And he does have the capacity to deal with it, there's a procedure for appealing a forum/irc ban.
It's not the moderators job to decide if someone is a retard, if someone claims to be breaking the rules then take it at face value and move on. IMO the only exception to that would be cases of impersonation.
If he can provide some evidence he was making it up then I'm sure the mods will be happy to commute the ban, and replace it with one for wasting their time.

He got banned in game for using an aimbot. He got banned elsewhere for being a massive dick about it and breaking the forum and IRC rules.
And he does have the capacity to deal with it, there's a procedure for appealing a forum/irc ban.
It's not the moderators job to decide if someone is a retard, if someone claims to be breaking the rules then take it at face value and move on. IMO the only exception to that would be cases of impersonation.
If he can provide some evidence he was making it up then I'm sure the mods will be happy to commute the ban, and replace it with one for wasting their time.

And there was no admins. Look logs again, no one said me he's admin before judgment. I got banned for saying "aimbot" ? loul. I got banned on forum before to violate khalstaline's decision.
Two accounts on the forum ? Onoz ! In 3 years, and for ~5 posts ? I'm clearly a terrorist ! Or maybe i lost my pass...
Rules only protects admins's authority, and justify it.

He didn't advertise an aimbot and the website address is enough of a reason not to visit it (to all those capable of reading and thinking). It a 2 week ban for a joke. Oh and a forum AND irc ban. And a lack of capability to properly deal with an unban request. At the same time the forum is getting closer and closer to a Tremulous branded shithole.

You are missing the point here. He basically got banned on server, IRC and forums for saying 'aimbot'. Even if he actually did USE a bot that is no reason for banning outside game servers.
